I wonder if all those news outlets spoke to one and the same person, who may be right or wrong, or if they have different sources.
I will contact a good source at Canal+ in Paris. He is an F1 paddock reporter. He was with RMC as well for radio and is now TV.
The german media is reporting that he has suffered brain hemorrhage. His life condition is critical. Godspeed Michael. Praying for you right now.

Bild says that Schumi's management confirms the news: His condition is critical, he suffered from a "trauma with coma which made immediate neuro-surgical care necessary".
I suspect, but certainly don't claim to know, the former..... Most of the news outlets now simply parrot whatever breaking stories they find on the 'net as we know. We're probably as up to date as any, and seems to me there's simply no news coming. Which I can't help thinking is a bad thing, but I'm sure someone (Corrina?) will say something soon. Godspeed Michael. Cheers, Ian
I had the worst feeling about this when I read the story this morning. All that can be done now is Hope.
--Schumacher's spokeswoman Sabine Kehm said in a statement: "We ask for understanding that we cannot give out continuous information about his health.-- Sabine is controlling the media flow it would appear.
Comas after head trauma are survivable and many victims eventually wake up and recover to live a semi-normal lifestyle. Of course recovery will depend on his individual conditions. It is ironic that an F1 driver encounters an injury of this magnitude when merely out playing for fun. So many people get into trouble when skiing that it is something I would never do as a recreational activity. Coma: Types, Causes, Treatments, Prognosis
