I think they should have made the entrance fee much cheaper the first time around. It doesn't say what to expect for your $70 per person. I think it should be a substantial show for that price.

    tubeguy,

Here is a list of cars invited to the show.

Desert Concorso is a new and exciting automotive event coming to Palm Desert California. It will feature Italian Cars, but not only Italian cars.
In addition to inviting all the great Italian marques, Desert Concorso also invites historically important GT, racing and sporting cars from, but not limited to, Germany France and the UK. Yes, the new Desert Concorso is expanding the Monterey format adopted by our sister event Concorso Italiano by welcoming other great brands. (see below list)
The Desert Concorso is a “wash it, wax it, and show it” Italian car show centered around all the great European marques.
    Selected Hot Rods Invited
We here at Desert Concorso also recognize that there is a very large Hot Rod community in Coachella Valley which contains some incredibly sophisticated cars so we would like to invite no more than ten ‘32 Ford roadsters with exceptional engineering or design qualities, and no more than ten old-school “Rat Rods”. If you have a ‘32 Roadster or an old school Rat Rod that can qualify please send a series of photos and a letter detailing the story of your car. In addition to all the Italian and other European works of art, we believe a few unique hot rods are something “Car Guys” will want to see.
    Acceptable Cars for Desert Concorso:
All Italian cars including Italian designed cars
    Original purpose built racing cars
    ‘32 Ford roadsters — limited to 8
Old School Rat Rods — limited to 8

Trying to talk him in to it. He would need to have the Rolls approved for entry in the show. May be his last chance as he is planning to move back to London this summer.

This is NOT the pricing, nor the problem at "Desert Classic" (the longstanding superb show the Merrigan's put on annually for Charity --without the zero at end: Desertclassic.com ) every year, now Feb.22-23 at Desert Princess hotel, Palm Springs. Same great people--the real deal. Check out pricing, etc.

The other event is by the crew that do Concourso Italiano in the summer, up north. Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of confusion created.
