Please note, shields on vintage (actually most) road cars are frowned upon by this community . They just look wrong on such an elegant car. I am assuming they were from the prior owner and you weren't putting them back on after the repaint. It will look so much better once it is back to its original color! Regards, Art S.

Your car was night blue with matching colour hard-top. With M. Ferte in Annecy/74 in the late sixties and with M. Chatain of Chambery/73 after him. He kept it for quite a long period of time. Lost track after him. Best, Patrick
Thanks Patrick, good info, do you know if knight blue was the original colour? In which case the factory records would be wrong as they are showing Grigio Conchiglia with a blue and white leather interior. What was the interior colour at the time you knew the car? There seems to be no evidence of Grigio Conchiglia but I guess it is possible it was bare metal sprayed in the Knight Blue
Bob, do you think the overspray behind the dashboard is the original paint? Thanks for sharing, BTW. john
What do people think of the dash being painted black and not body color? While most of the PF Cab II's I've seen have the dash painted the same color as the body, I've been informed that some of the cars came with the dash painted black. Thoughts? Steve
To be honest I've no clue. It's not what the factory records would say but I don't know how accurate factory records are? Or given it was such an early car whether the factory themselves might have been playing around with colours?
Hi Steve, some cars came with black (interior) door caps and some came with body color. The dashboard I have never seen in black. john
According to my (poor) memory, colour of the dash in your pics is the correct one I saw in the late sixties and early seventies. The car was never repeinted before I saw it. Very original, it was.
So you're saying the original exterior colour was blue or just the dash? What the leather colour at this time? Were the seats blue leather with white central panels? Any information gratefully appreciated...
According to scocca (718) that dash belongs to 1803GT, which was blu sera. On which part is that other body number and what is it? Have others been found? Best wishes, Kare
Slow progress but it's moving forwards... 718 is all over the car on every piece from back to front, big parts and small. I did ask the body shop and their view was "without doubt these are the parts assigned to the car when new" I don't suppose anyone has colour chart of leather and carpets used by ferrari in the early '60s? I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the original blue leather, which I think looks good with the pearly silver, but just wanted to see what other options there were Thanks Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Red ( in fact bright red, almost lipstick red) was a period color with body Grigio conchilia. Was the color of my former SWB.
Thanks, yes I know the Pink Panther 250 Cabriolet was grigio conchilia with red, it was definitely on the consideration list but I think I prefer blue, particularly as this was the original colour. This is pretty cool: Leather Colors Hats off to who ever made this, same it's not available for all models... Surprising how much red there was going on in Ferraris in the '60's
Bobj, interesting, the lack of a roof requires the extra frame tubing in the front bulkhead. Is there such a frame around the rear bulkhead too? john
Not really - just a cross brace, which might be there in the coupe? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bobj, the coupe does not have that "X" brace in the rear bulkhead. BTW, I think grigio conchiglia and VM3015 leather will be an out of this world color combination. john
