^^Thank you! I normally don't go for the dark on dark like that, but in that pic I like it. Certainly not as traditional, but different.
By way of illustrating just how flawless are the Maranello's lines, take another look at Bill's car in post #742 and compare with the custom Zagato 575Z that was placed beside my 575M at the Saratoga Automobile Museum Concours two years ago. To my eye the Zagato, while attractive, looks a bit bulgy or bloated next to a standard Maranello. But once the required holding period had passed, I understand that one of these Zagato Maranellos sold for $1,500,000. The last photo is Andrea Zagato at the Concours (we were in the same Concours class judging team) signing my copy of the Zagato history book. Bill, I understand that Zagato produced six examples. Andrea Z. told me that under EU rules they could produce up to nine examples and stil call them prototypes. I believe it was also he who told me that one had been sold by its original buyer for $1.5M Take a look at the side view of the car and see why to my eye it seems too big, almost like a Maranello bulked up on steroids! :-( Andrea, please forgive! P.S. the Saratoga Automobile Museum's Fall Concours is upcoming this Saturday, now open to all Italian exotics. On Friday we'll run a road tour from the Museum on some wonderful back-country Adirondack roads to a luncheon at the Lake George Club. Anyone in the NY Capital District, y'all come! Go on the Museum's website: saratogaautomuseum.org (NB the two "aa"s in the middle of the url)
