    Dear Ferrari CCR pilot

I am thrilled to present you with a fantastic new opportunity.

CCR will race with the Indy Series in a prime spot in the Grand Prix of Houston on October 4-6. This will be CCR's inaugural support race with Indy and the first street race for CCR! Better yet, our newest sponsor Effort Media, is paying for 100% of the costs for the event, so the cost to you is zero.

This is a huge spectator event and we have indoor paddock space in Reliant Stadium. Like all of the pro teams we have limited time, with a practice session on Friday, Qualifying on Sat, and race on Sunday, so the good news is you will only need one set of tires. The best news is we race to benefit paralyzed veterans in what is titled the "Champions Race for Charity." See schedule. Schedule | Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston

If you would like to participate, email me back [email protected] to reserve your spot

Here is the track. It's short notice we know, but it is free to CCR members, and will be hugely exciting. We will put it on the official calendar for 2014 as part of the championship so its good to come and just take it easy and practice:

hey John, I have friends that have done the charity club race before in various makes. are you racing with them or your own group? It is a great event for great cause in front of big crowds, I recommend only the A and B level drivers do it though because of the walls and skill of other drivers.

CCR has its own race. It's called the "Champions Race for Charity,"

Dust it off Rob! It's free. Heck you could do like Franco, he will drive to his store, work the day, then drive to the track, race and then will be at dinner in downtown Houston!

that's great, I was just confused because I'm pretty sure the charity club race previous years in Houston was called the same thing. it was a mix of SCCA, NASA, and some pro cars. mainly 911's. maybe there are various groups, CCR being one of them? appears one of them has 2-3 days of training at MSR and then some type of celebrity race?

The school was part of a celebrity race that collapsed. So, CCR does not have the school. if you are a CCR member and an HSR license, you are good to go.

The charity race promoter Effort Racing/Media (our 2012 sponsor), has resigned with CCR for 2013-2014, and so we have this Grand Prix of Houston this year as a CCR exhibition race, and in 2014 it will be part of the full championship season.

Put down the fishing pole and hunting rifle, dust off your Ferrari and show up.

How often do you get a free invitation to take part in a Grand Prix?

Seriously, this is an amazing opportunity. This event to buy time in and run would normally cost over $60-$70,000, and Effort is underwriting the entire thing for exposure to the charity!

We have decided to postpone CCR's debut at the Grand Prix of Houston. Despite an extremely generous offer from our sponsor, the new date conflicted with the calendars of too many of our pilots and preparations for the final points race in New Orleans. However, the enthusiastic feedback we received both from the CCR pilots, the event and the sponsors has landed the Grand Prix of Houston solidly on the calendar for 2014.

For those who were looking forward to spectating, we welcome you to what we expect will be the largest field of the season a few weeks later in New Orleans.
