I wonder how much that number was affected by the money going to charity. Great car and nice to see the owners doing a good thing with it.

It sure was pretty. I got off it at $20 mill. ;) Anybody know what the "chopped" car at Russo Steele brought?

So the NART Spider has officially dethroned the SWB California as the most desirable and expensive Convertible. The way it should be imo.

Not even #2015 or #2383 could come close to that bid (I think).

By the very fact that a dealer, John Collins of Talacrest, bid $20 million, and who would have expected to make a profit on the $22 million outlay plus taxes and expenses, not much at all.

I couldn't agree more. It must be very sad for them to see the car go. They sound like very nice people.

I am nearly 100% sure we saw this parked on the street right around the corner from the restaurant we had dinner at last night in Carmel by the Sea, no ropes or red carpet, just on a side street, corner of Dolores and 7th st. I wasn't sure if it was the same car until I saw the video. We were debating if it was a replica... I wish I took a photo. It was too dark at that time. Any body else see it or was it a mirage? If it was the same car hats off to the new owner for the purchase and previous owners for the charities funds will support!

Bought by a Canadian fellow I belive. Insane money for that car, and IMHO no where near worth that amount. But if you want it and have the dough, who am I or anyone else to judge.
