In 2008 I put new 14" XWXs from Coker on my 365 GTC. In 2010 I swapped those for Vredesteins based on the recommendations of a number of 330 GT and QM owners I chatted with. I think the ride and grip is much improved with the Vredesteins.

    Are they still making P4000s?

This seems like a pretty strong data point

I don't think they make them any more. Tire Rack has P4's in 215/70 on closeout ($111 each), but no idea how they compare to P4000s and I don't see a speed rating on them either.

This is also my experience with them.

I didn't like the X or the XWX, even when they were the current tech. Both seemed to have a hard ride (which I didn't mind), good feel, but a quick release of traction when pushed in the dry/warm and they never found grip in wet/cold.

    Just another opinion.

    Hi Peter,
the P4 is not the same as a P4000. The P4 is just an all season radial, for touring (not sporting) S, T or H rated, A traction /with A or B temperature.

Yes, but that particular model tire, (CR39) is no longer available. (I just found out that it appears to be available through Avon Motorsports, but in TRX only :p )

I called Cooper Tire head offices for you, to see if there were any left in the warehouse. At one time, they had a good number of them, in Georgia, but not any more.

I would be inclined to go with the Avon or Vredestein options, rather the the Michelin or the Pirelli P4.

This is a street/race tire, so I wouldn't expect a lot of tread-life, but as I told someone when I was putting Avon race tires on my bike, we're in a race with dry-rot rather than tread mileage. :D

There is a small range of Pirelli Cinturato tyres available at present. still manufactured by Pirelli.

the 205VR15 Cinturato CN72 HS, has just gone out of stock. i am hoping to get more stock later this year.
