Ok, just in case someone is still interested, here is the small clip of the second startup. Sorry for the poor video quality, I don't have patience to upload the original size... I managed to loose the video of the first startup :( Anyhow, the second one happened just 3 hours after first. The idle was not super smooth in the beginning, but got considerably better as the engine warmed up.

    That's really encouraging.

Wow.That's running alright.. Don't no if it is the speaker angle or just the room but a bit of a strange noise there.. Just keep on running it..big believer in the Italian tune up with these sorts of jobs.. .. Keep pushing ahead with it.. Great days Linas.. Is the dash all working guages etc..

Any more news Linas...hopefully you will get some time on it this weekend... I'm still intrigued on how wet the car was when it arrived... have you removed the interior carpets etc to clean.. This is not a small job. Lots of work to be done..

Well, it seems that things are going better and better. Dash is working perfectly now, lights, all interior electronics as well. The only small issue is that there is some hesitation on door window motors. They are dissembled now and being cleaned.

Interior pieces are coming back together now. The carpets were cleaned, because they were rather wet. When the car arrived, it was missing the carpet in the area in front of seats, under the floor mats. I will think, what to do with that - maybe just get those made locally.

I also sent the seats to be disassembled, washed, and reassembled again at the specialty upholstery shop. Can't wait to see them after that! :)

    sounds all very good :)

do you perhaps know or can see how high the water has been inside?
I ask because of the amplifier in front of the passengers seat and also the switches and controller in the center console

Linas: No carpet under the floor mats is normal. The last 3 Testarossas I've had did not have carpet under the mats. At first I was surprised by this, you would think that with the TR being Ferrari's top of the line model, it would be fully carpeted. But no....

I'm guessing, that the water inside was at the seat bottom level, submerging seat tracks and seat electric control buttons. But it is rather difficult to tell exactly. All saltwater flood cars are easier to tell about the waterline due to salt residue. It seems that this TR was in freshwater without any traces of salt left. That's a good thing. Once I had a chance to purchase and repair saltwater flood 2011 Mercedes ML350. Absolutely ALL electronics and wiring had to be replaced with the harness from donor car. That's why so many people hate working on flood cars - at first they hope to fix the car quickly, making a lot of shortcuts. I have already learned that there are absolutely no shortcuts working on a flood car. Basically, this is a full disassebly work, feasible only in countries, where the cost per man hour is low.

So still one more question remains - will the seat adjustment motors work. Should find it out next week perhaps.

Oh, thanks for letting me know! I thought, the carpets were taken off before shipping. In that case, I will just get a set of floor mats.
