By any chance, is that the yellow 328 GTS that was featured in the Octane Magazine article? I remember it was based in South Africa.
Is there a guy named Fred in your group? Recently bought a 458 Spider; I'm friends with his son in Botswana .
Gentlemans, any sportcars in Somalia? Im researching the country since a long time, but i haven't seen anything but Land Cruisers...
Another outing on empty mostly well surfaced roads... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Jacques - is that yellow 328 the one used in the Octane article in CT a year or two ago? I seem to remember that 328 was yellow? Dave
Well I keep posting about the fantastic weather we have down here in Cape Town, not the case today, pouring rain, muddy roads and serious bad weather. However a some of us did brave the weather and it total 7 or 8 Ferrari's did a 220 km trip through the countryside before having lunch at a rather nice wine farm. The cars got absolutely filthy but it was great that some did brave the weather. Car pictures and some countryside pictures. Was great to have some V12's along, the FF was definately the car to have today! The 612 looks better with each passing year. Jacques, I saw an identical 458 to that one in Franschoek at the Taal monument 10 months ago. Might have been the same one. Nice to see the cars out and about in CT, even if the weather isn't perfect. Thanks for the pics. Onno
Very likely to be the same 458, its the only blue one in Cape Town and I am told the only blue one SA. A very difficult colour to photograph but looks superb in the metal.
beautiful pics ,I hear so much about this wonderful place ,everyone tells me to get to Cape Town,my father was going to move there back in 1950,it was decision between Cape Town s.a/Sydney Australia/b.a. argentine, they were all progressive country,s to live in.but he decided on Sydney. . thanks t
Wow,it's awesome to see guys from South Africa are also on here and posting cool Ferrari pics from what we have this side.I'm also based in South Africa Cape Town. Here are a few pics I found of when I went in a black Ferrari F430 Spider to my MatricBall/Prom(that's me standing next to the car, haha). The owner of the cars name is Duncan Grant and i believe he belongs to SEFAC- Southern Equitorial Ferrari Automobili Club(The official Ferrari club of South Africa).People always ask why i never took a partner,i'd laugh and then point to the Ferrari . Welcome to the forum. Like you I also went to my matric dance/prom with no partner, a tubi equipped 355F1 meant the windows of the hall were seriously rattled.
Sweet, you were lucky that you could make noise. Our venue was in Stellenbosch and with the traffic officers controlling the entrance, the driver couldn't really rev the car loud to please the crowd, which really sucked.Anyway, the 30min drive was the best ever especially through the Cape Wine Route with those long straights and twisty roads . Here's 2 shots of the engine bay that i found.I feel in love all over again lol. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had another Ferrari club run outing today. There was a whole variety of cars in attendance though the V12's were represented by the 550B, the rest of the cars being exclusively V8 powered. Lovely route taking in the scenic Cape coastline and our mini "Targa Florio" The route ended at a local collection of cars.
