What about a full-race between the two with fully functional cars? How did they do in China, where both finished without any problems? Australia is a better gauge also. Both Malaysia and this race were marred by issues with the Ferrari.
alonso with a broken car finishing 8th ahead of others with healthy car, if thats not good what else coulthard again podium interviewer
it's not all about car. I think Vet/Alo/Ham are the three best drivers on the grid, but Vet has the best car. I tip Alonso as the top of the three because of his ability to get the most out of a lesser car. Vettel has shown impatience when not in front, which is why I rate him a hair below Alonso. There is no way to say that he is 3X WDC just because he has a fast car.
I still don't understand what happened to Massa's race. I know he had the blowout late, but he never really challenged despite seemingly having the advantage by starting in fourth on hard tires. Fernando is getting a heavy dose of bad luck early this season...
What he said. Also slowly but surely the picture is emerging: - Hamilton has now about 3 times the points of Rosberg. As predicted, Nico is no WDC material but just a good midfield driver. - And the Alonso-Massa "battle" is coming to an end with Alonso starting to pull away pointswise. Not that I doubted that, but there was much rahrah on the peanut gallery after the first two races. - Bahrain was better than usual but still utterly disappointing from a Ferrari perspective. - Mercedes is doing better than last year and Hami was absolutely right to jump ship. Two more facts some on here where doubting. Congrats to Vettel who is on his way to a 4th title. Well deserved albeit boring for F1.
The look on Kimi's face after he tasted the water...lol! RB looked fantastic in the hands of Vettel today. He showed awesome racecraft to overtake Rosberg and the rest was simple really. Kimi made a great 2 stop work again, but the car needs a bit more pace to start winning again IMO. Happy for Letuce boy's podium but would rather have seen Di Resta there... weekend to forget for Massa, such bad luck. Who the hell gets 2 punctures in the same race! Alonso made the best of a bad situation. Perez was mighty today, Button being a bit daft IMO but I hope Perez can keep this up. Rosberg...wow. Different scale of badness for his race. Hamilton did well and showed awesome race craft fighting with Webber. I honestly thought he was going to use Webber as a launch pad at one point.
Are you aware that Rosberg didn't finish half the races because of mechanical failures, and should have finished in front of Hamilton in malasia if Ross Brawn hadn't protected his new star investement ?
