Thanks Art. I couldn't find any Marchal lights so I have a pair or SIEM that are close enough for now, but have to borrow the round bezels from the old set w/o damaging. If they give me too much hassle, I'll just make a pair from sheet aluminum. Actually, it looks like I might have to do that anyway, the cylinders have different diameter.

The little brass bumps are visible in the right side photo.

I had to make a pair of bezels for the SIEM lights. The bezels from the Marchal units wouldn't separate and I didn't want to force. It looks pretty good I think.

I saw these SIEM lights on some earlier 50's Ferraris.

    Marchal 10's are readily available
    Rolls Royce uses them.
Several in stock w remade lenses, white and red, needed them years ago when I was in 410 mode

Never seen anything but Marchal 10s used for Ferrari Applications

I have a model made of the PF Coupe. The builder showed me this picture of the painted body yesterday.

I wanted one in gold since it is for my son Midas.

I am keeping the temporary site up to date but no new cars located or documented since September (sadly). To be honest the temporary site (which is FREE) suits me just fine !

You can see all the latest and greatest here :

I trust you are keeping well.

From the Bonhams Auction Versailles 2009: Chassis number ‘1409GT’ was delivered new in Italy to a Signor Da Silva finished in Grigio Argento (silver grey) with black leather interior and all-round disc brakes fitted. In 1960 it crossed the Atlantic headed for US importer, Chinetti Motors and their client Vincent Scavo of Easton, Connecticut. Chassis ‘1409GT’ then passed to one I.Friedman in Massachusetts and later, via Ferrari restorer/ dealer Graber Automobile AG of Bern, to the vendor on 31st December 1987, by which time the engine block had been replaced with a correct one of similar vintage and the original number carried over. Bills contained within the car’s large embossed leather history file, relating to its restoration in 1990, detail expenditure in the region of SFR.75,000.

There was a little more :

" The car has been maintained within the owner’s private collection by his full-time mechanic and has seen very little use since the restoration’s completion. Most recently ‘1409GT’ has been inspected by Ferrari Classiche and given their coveted certification: the relevant large, boxed folder accompanies the car. Attractively priced and presented in generally excellent condition, this elegant Granturismo is also offered with Marcel Massini history sheet, Swiss Permis de Circulation and Contrôle Technique. Local taxes will be liable if it remains in Europe; Bonhams is happy to assist with formalities including application for the reduced import rate for historic cars (5.5% in France, 5% in the UK) if required"
