searching for a pair of 246gt outer door chrome trim. 108-40. has anyone had these fabricated?
Dino.de shows the chrome parts on their site. Some of the chrome parts on Dino's were chromed brass and later they were stainless steel. Not sure what Dino.de is selling.
Quick Google search shows a firm that makes custom channel style trim in stainless and other metals. http://www.krohwagner.com/products.html
Even my car, #02732, has chromed brass. So much later than cross over cars. What I was saying, hence the quote, was what dinoparts.de are selling.
That is what I hear also. I am going to ring Racerboy's link and see what they say. Checked out their website. Very impressive! Thank you... Regards, Alberto
I am also on the lookout for these chrome trim pieces. Any hints or ideas for alternative sources are more than welcome.... Best regards Peter
Spoke to http://www.krohwagner.com/products.html . They have a 6,000 feet minimum and no bends. Back to the drawing board... Regards, Alberto
I just don't understand, why go through all that trouble to make something that does not fit. Regards, Alberto
My drivers side door trim is with a restoration shop for repairs. The shop is going to work up a price to do a batch of reproductions. I cannot remember if the right and left side are the same? In any case if they are different I can send the passenger side. Stay tuned.
