    Hi Guy,

WOOOW!!! Thats an awesome great update. A 360 CS congratulation & respect my friend.

No dragrace against the S20000000000 or 360 CS I`m afraid.
Damn, I`m getting older and beyond the f**** 50.
Lets have a race at the bar not at the track;)

I have driven the Diablo in 2011 for only 1.500km or so.
This year its still in the garage - sadly not time, job is almost killing me.

Have a great day & hope to CU and the other bonkers on the road in 2012.

it's so quiet on the forum. Not only in the old bonkers thread, but even the Dutch thread, only a few posts a day… wow. That was different a few years ago ;)

Hope the rest of the bonkers are doing just fine wherever you might be :)

    Hi Wolfgang..

Same here as well, same car, same wife and the same house :)
After a few years of ownership I became some kinda "mr-know-it-all" in the Ferrari community here in Norway...for a reason in which I had no idea of why, people I'd never ever met called me and asked for advice/recomendations of cars I'd never heard of......cuz thay had heard that I knew everything about all the Fcars here in norway...WTF?!?!?!?
And for that reason I became fed up with everything about Ferrari...it became too much for me, and I felt I'd lost some of the joyment to drive my car - and a few of my friends had sold their cars and moved on with family and all that.....

But the 348 sits still in my garage, but I dont take it out as much as I used to....BTW Merete and I went to Sweden earlier today in the 348, so it's not totally forgotten ;)

The interest for pinball machines is something that has been stuck with me since my childhood, so for about 3 or 4 years ago I asked Merete if I could pleaaaaase buy a pinball machine to put in my basement, she blessed me with this one...
Now I've got 23 :D:D:D:D:D (and I'm STILL married) hahaha

So mate, what about you? are you still in the guitar business??
I've seen pics of your Diablo, and I must say it looks absolute stunning - do you take her out as often as you should??
Please give our regards to Anja, hope you both are doing fine down there :)

    Cheers!

    Hi Paul,

348 experiences and other folks: I went the same way, lost the fun, lost some friends (`cause of their kids/money/father/time etc.).
Its a coming and going within the F & L dudes.
Some just buy a F or L cause its hype or for showing off. After a few years they are gone.

Anyway, I drive my Diablo from time to time. 2.000km/year more or less.
(All drive outs, meetings are captured on my site: http://www.lamborghini-diablo.de/seite12Photos2012A.html )

No reason to sell the car - I`ll swap it in 20 years for a rollator;) with carbon parts and a huge wing

    What else happened?
I became a proud grandfather. You remeber my daughter Jacqueline? Now 27 years, married and mother...and Grandpa is driving the Diablo :D
Guitar business: Sold my stores, retired for while, worked for to the gambling industry (Casinos) 4 years regional manager, retired again in May 2012, starting new job as manager for a huge firm in Germany next month.

Give me a call when you and Merete are next time in Germany.

All the Best to You & Merete

With very best regards from Anja

First of all, congrats as a grandfather mate, I'm sure you're a proud grandfather :)
We remember your daughter, even though we've never met her.

So there you go Wolfgang, times ARE changing, people grow up and starts family and all that, dont get me wrong, I still love my car and I've never considered of selling it...so my F & L interest are still running in my blood, even though the urge for drive outs and meets has been quite low for the last few years, but it'll come back one day ;)
I'm not in a rush, I'm done with the payments long time ago, so have no worries ;)
Besides the last two summers here in Norway has been nothing but crap, so that keeps me from taking the car out.

I had a look at your pics, and I cant say other things but WOW, it looks like a great collection of L cars and nice gents - it's just to bad the time is flying by :(
I also checked out your homepage and found my self in a few pics from Modena Days back in 04 I think it was ;) I remember we drove aaaaalll the way down to Schwetzingen to participate in our first major F L meet. those where the days mate.

So, even though the times are changing, I'm still the same crazy dude as I've always been...no more, no less :D:D

I still have a good contact with Graham (from London) if you can remember him, I've been hanging out with him in London a bunch of times and he has also been visiting me here in Norway a tons of time, he also have sold his F355, but is planning a new F car in the time to come.

Concrats mate Wolfgang, a grandfather now!!
Great to hear you still have the Lambo, and for you Paul; to have the 348!!

Interest in cars, or any other 'hobby', comes and goes. But the love for Ferrari will always be there. Atleast, for me. Ofcourse you can only spent your time (and money) ones, so… there were other things that needed my time :)

And I still (omg and I'm almost 36 :S) don't have the money for a F-car… all my money goes into my company, with which ofcouse I hope to earn enough for a F-car in the end ;)
    ..

I do miss the Bonkers sometimes, and all the fun we had at different tracks, but who knows in the (near) future :)
    NEVER loose the fun Wolfgang!!

    Grtz!

    Hi Bonkers!!!!

Yes times are changing... I am happy, that my life is (for me) more and more exciting. I completed my study at the Faculty of Law in Brno in 2007. Then I was an articled law clerk for 3 years and now I am an advocate (2 years).

My Czechferrari is here for 10 years. We are official partners of Ferrari Owner’s Club Czech republic now, but we had several scandals (small with first photos of Ferrari 458 Italia and big with first photos of Ferrari FF).

I bought Ferrari Mondial 3.2 (from 1988, in Switzerland) 3 month ago.
    http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w122/ultimate01/mondial/960P1110248.jpg
My mechanic changed timing belts in my Mondial, adjusted door (at driver side), adjusted sunroof and etc. etc. I must make the registration and then I am looking forward to first kilometres with my Mondial....

Hi Simon, :) Nice to see you too my friend! :)
It seems to me that the European comunity is more or less dead since the good old days when everyone shared the same language, and a passion :) ......sadly, just like we all predicted, it seems to me that each language-sub-forum kind of sticks to their own language threads!! :(

Anyway, I am here from time to time, in the hope that some of the old Bonkers are here online! :)

I hope life is good to you Simon... :)

    Cheers

    :)

Not dead just active within the language forums like you said. I know some of the oldies didn't want the change but the majority did. Anyway it is what it is. There is no reason it can't pick up again if the old guys just get on board again.

    So, lets start!!

Whats new Carsten, still i contact with Tom Kristensen?

I guess you're right Simon,..... but then again, some of the old spirit about sharing the passion may have been lost to the all the different language threads where only the "national" guys understand what is being shared! I still find it sad, although I accept that the forum is what it has become....times change I guess! :)

I still have contact to TK, although not much......well and of course one finds new ways to share the passion.....like Facebook and Twitter and so on.
Lots have happened over the years, and after the break-up with Tina, I almost quit the drawings! I met a nice girl, moved to Columbia, South America and was living there for some months while everything was still nice! Moved back here again started on my old job in the industry.......I started drawing again in 2010 with new ideas and inspiration, and moved to Northern Ireland for a period and opened my own gallery......didn't work out well with the financial depression, so had to give it up! Then I moved back here shortly and then moved almost to Switzerland :) I spent my time drawing and enjoying life at Bodensee on the German side.
I Stayed there (Ludwigshafen am Bodensee) with a friend and helping him run his business.
Moved back here once again and met a nice girl in Indianapolis....and yeah, you're right, it didn't work out in the long run, so here I am back again.... :) a whole bunch of nice, interesting and exciting experiences richer! :)

Hi Guy, yes, I remember the drive, a few years ago now. I still have my 328. I was always on the look out for a replacement but in the end could never go through with sell the car.

Nice to see some old face back in this thread.

    Hi Carsten,
seems like you have been a busy boy!!
I still enjoy those 2 CC prints daily: 1 being the black Enzo and the other is the 288 GTO.

This thread has been on a very low for a long time and we all have our stories to tell for the time we haven't been on here.
Mine is a story of highs and lows with the high being some once-in-a-lifetime luck which brought me to a postion in which I could really consider forfilling my life long dream of owning a Mondial, even had a serious look at some, even made an offer on a very nice one. But somehow, somewhere in the very back of my head something withheld me from spending that amount of cash on a car. So I didn't.
The wife promised me I can go for the dream once the kids are out of the house (mind you I have 5 of those critters hanging around here :)), so she gave me a nice daily driver for the time being. (a BMW 320D touring full option).
One of the lows happened last year: on the evening we had the storm during the Pukkelpop festival we were watching the extra newsflashes as he drama happened live before our eyes. The wife decided to have a quick shower while we were watching the news. After about half an hour my oldest son came rushing down the stairs screaming that mom had fallen and blood was everywhere in the bathroom.
She had taken a fall in the walk-inn shower and cut her leg. I had to tie off her leg and saw the seriousness of the situation. She was rushed to hospital. Result: the glass window cut a piece of 10 by 15cm of her ancle/leg right up to the bones which couldn't be reset. She had a total of 18 weeks of hospital. Now after 6 operations she finally can walk around for about 10 minutes. She lost her job and still has no sight on when she can restart looking for one either, but that is of lesser importance.
I'm still here on the site on daily basis, visiting some events and meetings, collecting Ferrari serial numbers etc. so the Ferrari fever is still here

    best to you all
    Jurgen
