Hi, You can get the whole story in the above link, so I will just go ahead and post interesting pictures. These were taken at 7am and taking care of last minute preparations before the 8am start. The Bimmer was the rally marshall car. Its an original Baur conversion. More will follow. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Here is a pic from the starting line. The other one reflects the type of roads the rally was run on. The route was purposefully chosen in a way that everybody could get maximum enjoyment from their cars. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Ramin Jon, Great work and I always look for your pics of the events you guys run and hope to be able to be a part of it in the future. I was wondering if you have any extra sticker or decals from the Tehran Caspian Racers left over that I can buy from you to put on my car.... Please Pm me if you have one available. Gorbanet
Steve Jan, I sent you a PM. It would be great if you could join us in future events. Of course it would be even cooler if you could bring your Ferrari along (hint). Anyway, here are a couple of Bimmers on the way from Kelardasht to Ramsar. This road was one of my favourites. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, I should mention all pictures are courtesy of Tehran Cafe Racer Keyvan Moradi who was the official photographer for our rally, along with Ali Reza Kousheshfar and Kasra Kianipour who put together a DVD. Here is a picture of a vintage Iran National Peykan (a locally assembled Hillman Hunter) sneaking up on some American Muscle. Please don't read anything into that ! Early locally assembled cars, especially Peykan's are garnering more and more interest in the collector community here. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear Pav, Thanks for the encouraging words. Here are some pics from the hotel arrival. The hotel selected was the Sefid Kenar which sits right on the shore of the Caspian Sea. This hotel was used in the 2010 Peking to Paris Rally. Aftrer our positive experince with the hotel, we selected it for the rally. This is a 66 Mustang convertible putting the top back on after parking in the hotel parking lot. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Some of the guys took the opportunity once they arrived to take care of some quick wrenching following arrival. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Post dinner rally announcements in the hotel restaraunt. The guy behind the loud speaker is Dr. Emad Radmanesh, a professor of English who also doubles up as the President of the VW Bug Club of Iran. (Yes, there is one). He handled all the logistics and organization of the rally and did a fantastic job . He is in charge of planning in the Classic Car Committee of the Auto Federation in Iran. Hi, Putting the cars to sleep for a well deserved rest. Speaking of which, it is almost midnight here, so will follow-up soon. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hi, Sorry about stopping the post about the rally mid-way. As you are aware we had an earthquake in Azerbaijan province. Last Thursday we had a fundraising drive with a classic car gathering at the Azadi raceway in Tehran , followed by one in Isfahan on Friday and one in Shiraz today. It took a lot of time and energy, so thanks for bearing with me. The Tehran gathering had everything from a Gullwing to a Bricklin and I will post pics soon. Here are the pictures from the second day of the rally, starting with the morning photo sessions. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Here is the starting line. The cars were started off by Iran's first female race (and rally) champion Laleh Seddigh. She was a great help in organizing the rally and serving as a rally marshall. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, One of the guys who accompanied Ms. Seddigh in her 750il said he was scared out of his wits as she would hit speeds of over 250 kph at times going from rally control to rally control. I was a bit sceptical until I saw this picture showing the side stickers of her car almost sheared off from the pressue of the speed ! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, Leaving the starting line for day 2. Some of the muscle cars couldn't resist a bit of wheel spin. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
