Coming up for sale at Monterey by RM Auctions.
If I had the financial firepower, I would not hesitate on this fine example.
A rare design AND build by Scaglietti. Enjoy this Video.

This confirms my view on the classic Ferrari market. It is very strong and the price increases are in no way sustainable. I fear we are heading into a 1980's type situation soon. Although I think prices will rise further still, I think the end is near. Everybody says today is different. New buyers, new countries, limited supply more demand. The same things all over again like was said in 1980's. The problem is with the Fed publicly now keeping IR low until 2014 he is putting fuel in the fire as far as Vintage Ferrari prices are concerned.....

BTW are there any significant differences between a 375 Plus and a 410 SA engine?

As the sound to the Steve Wakefield Classic Driver video kindly posted above by Scuderia CC doesn't work for me for some reason I emailed Classic Driver and Steve Wakefield sent me a personal reply which is very funny. As well as suggesting I change to Firefox or Chrome here's part of the reply in the email he sent me as follows:

"Alternatively, I could always do what an air stewardess on JetBlue once suggested, that is that if the passengers were not happy with the entertainment on offer, she would come round to each seat and sing a song for each traveller on request… So… “Brrrm… brrrmm..”

    It is a fantastic car."

    “Brrrm… brrrmm..”

Fabulous and excellent personal review of the 410 S Berlinetta Scaglietti, LOL!!

That could rival Elton John or Paul McCartney. Its a shame the video does not work with you.
Its really splendid and I hope you are able to see it soon.

What on earth is going on here? In the last second RM adds another Covered headlight SWB Cal spider? With an estimate at $7.5-9m? This is crazy. I remember its only 2-3 yrs ago where a Cal SWB Spyder was $5-6m. Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy?

Do you have any idea how staggering it is to see the estimate on the California? Back in the day I would have been delighted to get that price...with three zeros knocked off! Typical sales price then was around $5,000. Just another used Ferrari. Why didn't someone tell me to hang on to one or two?

I've seen (and heard) a few of Steve Wakefield's reviews before that were excellent. It could be my Anti Virus Software blocking the sound. I'm working on it. Thanks.

In no way possible can I imagine that these cars were going for $5'000. But of course no one imagined what would happen. I recently read a cavallino magazine from 1993 advertising a 250 GTO for $3.5m. Today they are worth 10x that. Although I think the GTO prices today are not even that crazy. I mean if a Picasso can sell for over $100m why can't a GTO sell for that? Its the holy grail of automotive history for many people. I am sure in a few years the 250 GTO will brake the $100m barrier. I still think the market for the rest of Ferrari is overvalued now. It is going to correct....
