    Yes, its #2514, one of the most original and best documented T26 of all and the oldest German Maserati! Today back in a very important German Maserati-collection.

    I came across both the ex Appleton Special and Louwman #3002 at Goodwood when they were unattended and was surprised to observe that neither had a chassis number on display on the dash board as many similarly aged Maserati's do, was I looking in the wrong place or are these chassis numbers a matter of record in works archives and / or contemporary race reports ?
