Thanks. I did see the pics. What camera do you use? I have a Canon 50D and 5D and I mostly use 5D. I don't really know much about photography but I do know that when I look at certain things they send a beautiful vibe and then I just want to capture them in my lens forever :)

Few more of the trees I captured with my lens during our road trip. I hope you like them.

Here's a photo I shot in 1992 of the ghost forest in Alaska. In the Good Friday earthquake of 1964, a large land mass (many square miles) subsided about 6 feet. As it was about 6 feet above sea level, salt water intruded and killed all the trees. The dead trees are still standing.

Some fantastic tree pics you got there. Love the remote area :)

There are 2-3 dead trees around 5 miles from here. They are protected/preserved. Not sure why but you are not allowed to cut them down.

Most of my pics in this thread were shot with my EOS 30D. Upgraded in 2010 to a 7D and hopefully within a year to a year and a half I will have a 5D mkIII.

Thanks for sharing the picture Wade :) I appreciate it. The rainbow looks so beautiful. The first one I captured in Miami last Nov. The next 2 pictures I captured in Iceland in 2008 at the Gullfoss Falls with my very small pocket Canon camera and accidentally captured the Rainbow that looked as if the clouds were throwing it up :D I absolutely loved the pictures. I hope you like them too.

This particular one I captured while my husband was driving at a very enthusiastic speed :D and I had to crop the blurred parts (which was the inside of the car). Some of these other dead trees I captured in YellowStone National Park and others just driving by the road side @ different spots. The kind of camera and proper lenses makes a huge difference but still I think it's the subject we are trying to capture that ranks first (IMHO). If the subject isn't worth capturing then the camera can't do anything (my opinion solely)

WoW !! I love every single one of it. Absolutely beautiful pictures. I take a lot of pics with my iPhone & iPad and they come out pretty beautiful. This one I took with my iPad and I think it came out really great.
