1ea 24 pos connector plug (Your pic shown) #206837-1 $4.18 (don't know why it's cheaper)
    1ea Wire extraction tool #A1329-ND $13.72

You may not need the small connector plug, but while you're in there you might as well change that one too. It's cheap enough. Hope that helps.

For the 1992-1994 512TR, throttle position switch is either Bosch or Beck Arnley for a 94-97 Volvo 850. Cost differential about the same, from $208 Ferrari ville to $59 for the Volvo. Walked into my Advance Auto and they had it.

Spasso, have you verified that this particular part is indeed a suitable subsitute for the original Ferrari-supplied part? If you search for Delco 219-419, it shows an "air injection pipe", not air check valve...

Here are the correct part numbers for the air check valve substitute:

    ACDelco# 214-419
    GM# 22040805
    Standard# AV7 or AV45

All these parts are less than $25/each.

Just going by post #6 of http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=90
    Looks like a typo.

The important part is, no need to pay a "MILLION" dollars for a 20.00 part
God forbid it doesn't come in a yellow box.

    Delco 214-419

    Thanks for the heads up.

I am still struggling with the shift linkage; but thought I would pass along some information on the more unusual or difficult items I had to research. I will also add this information to the Cross Reference Thread.

Alternator- I was going to have my alternator rebuilt as I typically got the warning light on the dash when I first started the car. When I removed it, I noticed that it was stamped Delco-Remy on the back. After a few hours on the phone with the folks at Delco-Remy they were able to convert the number on the unit to other, more common fitments. In this case the alternator was used more commonly on Taxi Cabs and specifically on 1989 GMC P3500 Vans with the 6.2L engine and the 120Amp Alternator. I found this at Advance AutoParts for $74.99 (Part # P728712) with a lifetime guarantee. The only real difference was in the adjuster mount. The GMC version was threaded; so I had to drill out the threads to accept the Ferrari adjuster. I noticed the original had also been drilled out.

Braided Hose- I was able to source nearly all the braided hose (except the larger 20/22mm sizes) via VW suppliers for a fraction of the price. Most I was able to get online through a company called CB Performance...The 20mm hose I got from Italian Car Parts and was very pricy. All was sold by the foot. You can also get the braided hose via WURTH; but it comes in pkgs.

AC Compr- My original unit is a SANDEN SD-508; 9265. My unit seems OK, but thought I would try to replace it since I had such good luck with the alternator. After many, many calls I eventually got to speak with someone at Sanden who took this on and researched the fitment. Our alternators were specially ordered by Ferrari and were not used on any other vehicles. I was told the main case was common, but that the back plate was entirely custom (on their stock parts a Letter A-Z is stamped on the back plate for manufacture, mine had none) and although the clutch is a stock piece, it was not used commonly with that main case.

Larger exhaust gaskets- I got these via TRutlands via Part#154985. I mention this because I attempted to source locally and was able too, but the fitment was not correct.

3 wire plastic clips for the Ignition Wires, I also sourced at TRutlands Part#121789. As I did with the Spark Plug extensions- Part#124792.

The local parts guys did not stock the Gear Oil, Redline 75W90NS; but I was able to source it via Summit.

Need a clutch disc or two relined..........

Got a pair for my 1987 TR done for under $200 with a 5 day turn around.....my door to theirs and back to me!!!

The name of the company is All Frictions Co. LLC. The tel # is 860-342-2001….ask for Tim, and mention my name Kerry Wittig, the Ferrari guy!

    Their website is www.allfrictions.com

By the way, this is the company that does all the clutch and brake relining work for Wayne Carini, he's a Ferrari expert, owns F40 Motorsports, Portland, CT and hosts a TV show on HDnet called “Chasing Classic Cars”. I figure if Carini trusts his workmanship……….so can I!!

Its great to see so many testarossa owners have realized by now that ferrari only built the engine for the car, the body was built by pininfarina, gear box by colotti, diff by ZF, fuel system by bosch, electrics by bosch and marelli and with other parts raided from alfa lancia fiat, most of the generic looking parts on the car will have a number on them so you can google and you will see a x reference and other model cars that used that part, there are other ebay sites like ebay uk that from time to time have new and used ferrari parts for sale with a x reference on the part you are after last time i looked there was a new testarossa body and 2 used testarossa engines for sale

Advance Auto Parts, Worldwide P7288-12. Shows up as for 1984 Corvette and other Chevy types. The spec says unthreaded mounting lug, but mine came from warehouse with threads. Easy fix with drill. 120 amp. Swap the pulley. Otherwise a direct drop in. Could not find the part number on the public web site, but it is on their store computer.

Hello Phil; Thanks Soooooo much for your due diligence & persistance in sourching the ever elusive Testarossa door seal. I'm going to contact the dealer & order. Any idea as in "meters" how much is needed to do both doors, plus a little extra for insurance?. Also recommendations for adhesive/glue to attach.....Mark
