I second that. Its nice to see what they looked like before they were
"restored to original" with all new parts.

I am aware that 0716TR received a drogo body in 64, but it was restored very nicely (with a Fantuzzi made TR body in 77 or so I believe)...
The pics were to show a correct body and (especially) interior compared to a replica...

    Marcel,
Any period photos or info on 0710TR. I know this car was the only one made with a removable nose, and is owned by Dr. S. who shows the car at local shows and his museum in Philadelphia. Is there any information you can share that is not on barchetta? It is always great to see in person.

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting. I wonder what happened to the original
    TR body.

Not sure, but I remember visiting Tom Meade in his tiny shop in Modena in those early days, and seeing a complete TR body hanging on his wall. I have no way of knowing, at this late date, if it was from 0716 or not. Tom is still here in SoCal---I wish he would join us! I left him a message, but I suspect he doesn't have a computer. If we can gt him to join us, he will have some great stories to tell!

    Fantastic!

I've been on Tom about this for some time. Last time I saw him, I think he had finally gotten a computer, but had yet to get an internet connection set up.

Question on the nose treatment were there ever original TRs produced with the air intakes on the fornt nose, it appears that 0666 in bw picture has not and the restored version has, or did the prototype had this only remember seeing a picture somewhere

0666TR did have these intakes in 1958 at the Targa Florio and at Le Mans where it had an accident. Thereafter, after a rebuilt, they disappeared again. Presently 0666TR is as was at Le Mans 1958.

A good comparison shot, almost the same angle as my photo. It appears the blue stripe is missing or doesn't show up in the b+w photo.
There is something on the rear fender behind the wheel that looks like a mud flap.

Another horrible REPLICA which does NOT belong into the Vintage section.
Suggest to post in the "Recreations & Non-period Rebodies" section.

It is one thing to buy or worse build such a replica destroying a original car, it is another thing to pretend it to be a real one.

I hope one day we will see all this replicas being restored to original Boano‘s, Elena‘s, Gte‘s, .... again....

It is like people having houses build in the style of old castles when they could for the same money afford real good actual architecture (no, I am not an architect).

This has the ID of s/n 13473. 365 GT 2+2, and the only one delivered on these shores in Rosso Nearco. Gutted to see it reduced to this.
