Sad, really. I met Roland at the FFQC and enjoyed chatting with him and following him out to the track. At no time did he ever say anything about LeMans or that his car was a real LM. Then again, I never had any business dealings with him. That always tends to change things. Dale

Well, the saga continues even after my first appology to have told our community my position. Of course, I'm not responsible for what ever a writer finds about me and puts it in his article. I wasn't ask about the Forbes article or any other one written about me. I didn't even knew about it. The same was for the title at the Mothers commercial. I watched it again and I didn't even mention that in my presentation. Of course, it's easy to find the Le Mans Story eveywhere and I even saw one with a "3 times". I made my peace about all that and if some wants to keep talking about, so be it. Once more, I will apologize for that mess and confusion. You can say what you want about my car, she is what she is and nothing will change that. Who else can have such a car build for him ? Maybe only Napoli can say that . Maybe my mistake was to disclose all about the construction of my car...I thought that sharing with the Ferrari community my good fortune to have such a car would make people happy for me. Yes, this sort of behavior would not be tolerated by regular members so I don't think the Mods/Admins are setting a very good example here. Clearly if they don't want Roland and "his lies" polluting FChat they could just ban him and be done with it. Little entertainment value afforded in that approach, I guess...? >8^) ER
One's character must be present in order to be assassinated. Did his character disallow the proliferation of mistruths? At which point did his character deny his largely imaginary primary involvement in one of this planet's premier forms of motorsport? Did his character rest easy on illusory laurels and did nothing to deny false information? Did this character cash checks that were printed based upon false assumptions that his character did not deem morally necessary to correct? This character that you speak of does nothing correct misinformation, nothing at all, despite having been given so many chances over so many years. You speak of character assassination. Pretenders and losers burn out here in less than a day. That RL has been allowed so much leeway that spans years speaks more to the quality of this community that it does about the character of the character in question. Never ever, in the universe of men, has someone been given this much rope to use as a life line. That he uses it as a noose is his own problem.
This is, as said before, school yard behaviour. Sad that some people lost money on this, but this site is not a public battlefield. Let the man go, delete this thread. at this point I think there is little else that needs to be said although I will allow Roland to post. to those that think it never should have been brought up and hidden, shame on you, den of liars I guess.
