At last the Dino has arrived in Doha Customs have been cleared, temporary registration plates have been obtained and she is ready to go. Except it doesn't - the fuel pump has failed. Still not to worry, it is easily repairable. I'll strip it down tomorrow and see if I can find the fault. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What a gorgeous Dino in an absolutely stunning color! Congratulations and enjoy it in the best of health! Chris
Hey Simon, I've been waiting with great anticipation on its arrival to you. Very glad its safe and in good hands... again!
it's lovely Simon btw have you done any upgrades in anticipation of sending the Dino to Qatar? I know a friend imported a UK Dino to Singapore recently and amongst the upgrades he installed a much larger radiator in order to prevent overheating in our climate, and a bigger a/c compressor for similar reasons.
No upgrades, I just shipped it from Florida as it was, although the radiator was recently changed by the previous owner. The car is running with a new fuel pump now and sounds great. I still haven't driven it as it is up on axle stands. I pressure washed the engine and wheel arches and have done a few bits and pieces on it whilst waiting for the pump, which arrived yesterday. New plugs & leads, new air & fuel filters, cleaned the inside and so on. The reason it is still on stands is so that I can check the cooling fans both work correctly. I'll be doing this over the coming weekend Unfortunately there is no need to worry about the A/C as it doesn't have any. Simon
