Been itching to use the Griot's Satin Black Enamel sprays I picked up a couple of years ago, so I decided to put it to good use.

Never liked the conspicuousness of the tag, and that it seems to detract from the interior, so I made it less visible.
The area with the tag identification was masked prior to painting, so it can be revealed if need so.

I also wanted to remount it high up along the glass edge, but found that it interferes with the visors.

I think it looks good. Thoughts?

We can't do that anymore. We have stupid electronic stickers. I don't see what's so difficult in making the damn things looks decent.

I've never even thought of painting mine! I don't leave it up, but I always hate that white thing hanging there. Now I know what I'll be doing Saturday!

I thought of that but plate covers are illegal in Illinois. Also, work keeps complaining about "you can't commit crimes and arrest people the next day"..blah blah blah. Rules, rules, rules ;)

Don't forget to paint the velcro surfaces as well. The only surface that I could not paint was the side with the adhesive, but the black paint from the opposing surface shows through the translucency well enough.:)

Whoa... Yes indeed: if they can't read the plate, so what if pics of the plate are snapped! Yes!
