True, that it can be easily fixed (probably as easy as unbolting the wheel and turning it over a couple of bolt holes over), but you'd think that would have been done BEFORE going on the market...

Historic photos show the stance of the steering wheel has always been this way.

Really? Why? I can't wrap my head around that, I mean this isn't out a degree or two, this is a full quarter turn out of place. Every car that leaves the factory and race department gates has a normally-placed wheel and this particular car doesn't? There is some story behind this and I just don't get it.

I would if it were my car. Historical or not, that would annoy me to no end.

Anyone know what happened with this car? I did not see it today. Or is it really that private?

Marcel made it pretty clear early on that the car would not be in attendance:

"As per information from RM of today Tuesday 2nd February 2010, GTO 4675 GT is NOT going to be at auction in Monaco. They have it for sale by private treaty, however."

Simon Kidston's newsletter today suggested that the next time we see it, that it will probably be painted white. I'd say that's a fairly telling sign of the car's new owner.

I guess the SWB was the down payment. But I can't imagine it going white with a blue interior.

I pray to god he doesn't paint it white. I don't think he repainted the Cal Spyder he paid $12 Million for.

    Just a thought...

I think that all Ferraris should be kept in the way they were born.
But... Considering the fact that s/n 3729 was originally painted white and is now red, painting s/n 4675 in white could be kind of a compensation.

Despite what many people believe, not all the GTOs were painted in rosso.
IMVHO, seeing one of them going to a colour that was present in the original palette would be a nice change.

P.s. I would prefere to see 3729 going back to white and 4675 be kept in rosso. And possibly changing the ugly nose...

There was a suggestion in the English Daily Mail last week that he's also added a GT40 to the collection

Anyone have any updates for us ?

What he does do though is allow people to drive his cars in some sort of charity event ... I think you have to buy raffle tickets or something. Now that he has a GTO I'm thinking about joining in even though I live in Sydney, Australia!

the car referred to in daily mail was adrian newey's gt40 - he turned up to my local in it with his wife and with chris evans' entourage - article below:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1268676/Chris-Evans-treats-family-day-open-road-multi-million-pound-sports-cars.html

talacrest have now put some videos on the white collection cars:
    http://www.talacrest.com/news.asp

seems the dino and 4 cam have been sold - so just f40 and 288gto left - which when you take into account RM sale and talacrest cars - chris must have raised a sizeable deposit on the gto - what a lucky bloke - all credit to him for using his cars - am sure the gto will get a number of outings

sure he is not going to paint it white - anyone know if he really will?
