Yea!! - So glad you are happy with the final pieces. I'm still open for orders if anyone interested. Whole set - Front switch panel, cassette cupholder replacement and rear piece: $270 Front switch panel alone: $170 Other pieces inquire. We can do custom stuff easily, like ashtray or lighter delete, and it may make it cheaper. Remember, you lose some of the backlighting as the pieces are solid anodized aluminum. Will be happy to do bulk orders. First picture is the full feature replacement panel and cassette cupholder conversion with a standard large issue Taco Bell cup, and the next photo is a custom example with metal tone, lighter and rear ashtray delete. I'd personally like to see someone do a chrome set. to match the shifter. Serving my fellow Mondialisti since 1996... russ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some news on the genuine Ferrari Mondial switch plate: Those three letters you dread: NLA I recently ordered one from FoUK and I received a very nice brand new one - but with all the switch icons in the wrong places! I haven't a clue as to which version it was for but it sure wasn't for my 85 Cab (it had a rear window defroster switch icon). It also didn't have any window switch icons. The part numbers or the applications in the books were mixed up, apparently. I called Stuart at FoUK and he searched all the available stock on the shelves to try to match mine. Only one that may be available is for a RHD model (a mirror image plate). Seems that it officially entered the NLA file, or as Ferrari puts it "0=NLA", which means I'm told that when stock is depleted it is no longer available. So, are these fine anodized aluminum plates still in production? I hope the price didn't suddenly go up!
It would be nice if one of you Guys could make a vent like the ST Corsa. $300.00 plus shipping is a lot for a vent.
Yes, the CNC files sit on my computer waiting dutifully to serve the next Mondial owner. Prices holding - perhaps someday I'll break even on the prototype development costs. I have looked time and again at making a vent. It's the developmental details that you really need to prototype to get everything just right that make it a bit high. Here's a picture of the aluminum switchplate replacement in place, and the hidden aluminum cupholder that replaces the cassette tray. Also attached is a CAD drawing for a center vent piece that used 3 of the more common round vents. Operators are standing by. Please PM for details. My thought is to make a plenum that attaches to the evaporator housing. Have the plenum shaped upward as it leaves the stock opening and attach the factory vent assembly. Charles
Dang! I have a Mondial-8 with the older styled center console. The cup holder idea is really cool. I might have to think on that one a bit.
I wanted to know if the new switch panels can still made and if so how to order? Also does anyone else make the center a/c vents? Thanks
yes - I'll dig out the details tonight and re-check pricing at the shop. I do not know about the center vent availability
Russ, I have an 87 3.2 and my plastic is sad. I'm interested and will be following for pricing or PM me.
Thanks everyone for the interest! I'm on a biz trip right now but looks like everything is a go. Waiting on new prices. Will be home in a week.
Update I will be home next Thursday, so will post the info then, sorry for the delay but away on family stuff. best rt
It looks like we will be ginning up an order for the aluminum billet unlit center switch console next Thursdsay. I should have a price by then which is based on number of folks ordering. If you are still interested, drop me a pm and I'll let you know the price for the group, or if not many, what the individual price is. Thanks rt
I have a T so the switch marking are a little different ( no gas fill door). Do you have a means of reproducing these? Also Where are the allen heads in removing the dials and cigarette lighter?
Allen heads are in the side of the know itself...about opposite of the indicator if I recall correctly. As for the lighter, you pull the whole panel up, then push the bottom of the lighter toward the top and twist. The whole assembly will then split top and bottom. - TCab
