I have last shown as for sale in June 2001 with 31,000 miles out of Florida. Before that for sale in 2000 from North Carolina with luggage.

Well it's certainly a nice looking car and it would be great to see some photos of the engine compartment as well as the story of how this all came together.

Thanks for chiming in, the first 6 speed 400/412 series I've seen!

P.S. You are very youthful looking! ;-)

It is always amazing how little some cars move. Isn't it?

Yes , from a very nice gentleman from La Verne.

Pulled the engine & dropped it off at Brettski's last Monday. I'm getting everything else in order on the car at my garage. A very solid 400 with no rust, and a pampered interior. This should turn out to be a great car.

It would be nice to know how many 400GT 5 speeds are left. Any guesstimates?

Heres info on my car and photos as promised earlier,

400GT RHD Manual gearbox Colour Black here in Scotland UK Chassis No 21341

I bought this car from Roseneath engineering UK Oct 2006 with 56000 miles and have covered 18000 really enjoyable miles since, no major problems apart from a bit of a pain recently with the water/oil pump which means engine out!

On the numbers there were 21 UK imported cars of this particular model so far only myself and the Blue UK car previously in this thread appear so possibly only a handfull at most will be around as for total production 147 400GT manual gearboxes were made so at least we know that.

Heres pics from high speed blast around Europe trip which by the way burned 7 litres of oil over 2400 miles which is not bad considering new would burn 6 litres over 2400miles.

    Regards All

Thanks for posting, Alastair! Must be something to have such a rare car in your country. Sorry about the water pump bearing but glad that you are driving your car the way that it was meant to be driven.

Hi, welcome to FChat and thanks for posting your information about your 5 speed 400 GT! There are a couple of other 400 series owning Aussies on this forum so I'm glad to see a new member to join the group!

Please post some pictures and your story about your time with the car when you get a chance. Also, there are some pretty capable technical people on here so if you have any questions about how to fix and issue or find parts, post them here and see what happens.

Welcome and well done, you are the third 400gt manual RHD owner I have heard of.

Also would be great to see some pictures. The total factory production was 147 of which 21 were Uk imports, cant have been too many imported to Hong Kong.
    Regards
    Alastair

    I have owned 66847 since 1999.
It is blue Chiaro 412 from 1986 with tan interior.

I live in the Netherlands. The car was originally sold in Germany and I imported it myself.

Could well be. I haven't been quite as diligent over the past couple of years as work type stuff has taken more of my time and attention.

Congratulations on your new purchase! I see from your profile that this is not your first 5 speed 412 and I would be interested to hear the story about this one as well as your earlier ownership.
