It has an Enzo and 430 look to it. I like the curves on that car.

Maybe my brain cell is just strange, but when I look at the 458 I can not help but think modern 246 Dino. I mean about looks. I realise that it is actually moving further away from those roots with a still larger engine. I think I am the only Ferrari fan who was never crazy about the 206/246 Dino looks, so it is perhaps not stunning that I am not crazy about the 458 looks. That said I love the exhaust, and when I have seen modern Ferraris like the 430 in the flesh rather than just in photos they always looked better so maybe I will like it more once I have actually seen one.

What? Looks nothing like a gallardo...gallardo looks like a box with a slant on one side.

Finally a new Ferrari that looks awesome and exotic - this has been missing since the 355 IMO.

You don't think the 360 looks awsome and exotic?

I can understand the 430 does not look that awsome, (IMO) just exotic.

But I think the 360 is among the most beautiful body styles out there.

the side mirror I think is the only thing that is really off with this car. I think It should be redesigned something more like the f430's side mirrors. At least have the space inbetween like the F430 but keep the same overall 360 style shape that it has now.

+1. The 360/430 are a tad too large and frumpy looking. The 458 is a step in the right direction. We'll see how big it is in person soon enough.

Seems like an evolution of the Enzo style with P 4/5 details used for the front....

Wow, that's a beautiful car! I see a lot of Enzo in there.Personaly, i really haven't cared for the looks of anything since the 355 except maybe the Enzo. The California is nice but the 458 Italia looks fantastic. I believe this is what Ferrari needs.

It really is stunning, isn't it !! The cross sculpturing in the door would not readily accommodate a paintless dent guy..........more like a new door !! But that shape is "to die for" !!!!

    Cheers, Hank

I can't wait to see some proper photos of the interior and the numerous options that will keep us drooling !!!

I believe this latest offering from Ferrari and Pininfarina will one day (soon) rank as one of the most beautiful of all time (of course there are many). In today's world of gimmicks and gadgets, angles and curves for the sake of being modern or different, this Italia flows naturally, like the finest of fine wines. And have we noticed, folks, that our extremely favorable reaction seems to be a general consensus:) At least, that's how I read it. The Italia's time has come !!

Guess I'll have to sell a few more Spider Tops and Berlinetta Shades.............because, I have a new dream car:)

    Cheers all,

    Hank

I would like to see a targa with carbon Fiber top, a simular version to the 550 Panamerica,or like new BMW M3 but targa version.
