Where did you find those pics??

That is no where near as bad as I thought it would be. Would be great to get some engine bay or interior shots.

Thanks for that, I did go on that site before posting, but I couldn't find them.

It really doesn't look that bad apart from maybe a good clean. I did expect to see it all rusty, but the body looks pretty good. I think earlier on in this thread somewhere it says about the engines being removed. I would guess with the exhausts still visible in these pics the engine is still in the car. Unless these are very old photos.

wow, my thread is still going
    and even new pics now!
    thanks

an call me crazy, but I'd still love to see those cars restored.
I even think that on the long term it wouldn't be a bad investment.
won't be for me though, just bought a house yesterday
    :)

This is my favourite thread on this site.

Personally I would love to find one of them and restore it for shows etc..., even though it didn't do well its still a well known Mondial

What you do is send the owner of the cars a letter. You tell him of your great interest in Ferrari's. And you say if he ever decides to sell them to please contact you. Then... just wait. If the gy doesn't want to sell there isn't much more you can do......

Cool....but you'd think that someone selling the cars would have new pictures, rather than the same ones on this thread.

Posted above in the thread 2 years ago, and even then borrowed from elsewhere: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137150118&postcount=172

I hope the ad is legitimate, if only to resolve the thread!

So how much will these cars be worth? I think I read in this thread that they were sold for 20000 euros back in the day.
And how much will they be worth when they are restored to race condition?
What is the value of the 308 GT/4 by NART today and can you compare the cars in value (historic/financial)?

    yes, kind of.
For those who don't know the lingo:

Offered: 2 Ferrari Mondial for restauration purpose.
These are cars with a racehistory and can be legaly put on the road.
Body needs repair but they are mechanically perfect. Tuned with racing engine.
The perfect opportunity to own a unique Ferrari.
Only 2 made, we sell them both.
We do not reply to silly offers.
    Greetings Mario.

    Best
    Jurgen

Hard to say what they're worth: what do they need .... everything?? Also, the add says that they have a racing engine... try to get these roadworthy and last some 1000s of happy kms in traffic.
Once restored, they would make a lot of people smile a guess (I know I would). I would certainly hate to see these cars being broken up for whatever piece that can be sold seperately.

I'm not sure what could be done to the engine since it raced in the touring car championship. I don't think there was much allowed to hot up the engine at all.

These cars would be ideal for the Shell Ferrari Historic races in a couple of years. There's no need to restore them to use them as a daily driver.

Would these cars be worth much for spares? There's no interior left, only a racing seat and the dashboard, probably in a bad condition. The bodywork is not in a good condition, it's a race-tuned engine.

The highest bid is 8900euros at the moment. If i had the momey I'd buy one car immedeatly for 10000 euros or is that way to much for these cars?

Is there anyone who's going to take a look at the cars? If so, I would like to have some pictures of them.

at the time the owner told me he'd sell both for 25000 euro.
a tad on the very high end, of you ask me...

btw: the seller now is not the owner i spoke several years ago
