    To begin,

    -The Bahamas Speed Weeks

    -Terry O'Neil

-End of the year Race Meet in the late fifties and sixties.

-I've yet to see a book more meticulously researched than this masterpiece by Terry O'Neil. Its an amazing effort on a subject which has become somewhat obscure. Besides having the starting grid of every event that took place, he has the Make, Model, Chassis Number, Driver & (or) Owner. There is an amazing ensemble of Ferrari pictures (as well as many pictures of Elvas, Alfas, Mercdes, Lotus and many more) and an equally impressive collection of documents and trinkets (including buttons needed even by drivers like Ascari and Sterling Moss to get into house parties). An incredible, fascinating read that captures the spirit of the event and defiantely a template for any great automotive book.

Oh so many titles. One that I strongly recommend is: Inside Ferrari by Michael Dregni. This book covers the factory itself and has many candid photos of production from the late 40's through the late 80's. It is long out of print, but you might find a copy on e-bay.

El Wayne put this list up maybe 4 yrs ago. Still a great starting point. Since his post, I have carefully acquired them all.

I have a copy (unfortunately a bit deteriorated as I acquired it from the Estate of The Marchese Luigi di Francia... who kept it in his garage which was a windowless, doorless, 13th century coach house) of this spectacular tome. I've been offered impressive sums for it so I assume its rather rare and expensive... but definately an incredibly insightful, meticulous, well crafted ouevre.

    Best,

That's the link, good grief there's hundreds of good titles..

I see many mentioned, that I own, any edition of "Pilote...." for sure, then there's tons of autobiography's that link tangentally to Ferrari as, well..

    Rob Walker
    Stirling Moss
    Innes Ireland
    Rodriguez brothers

..and "Mon Ami Mate" with Hawthorn and Collins......so literally hundreds of great ones.

It was definitely an oversight on my part not to include both Jess Pourret's 250 GT book and Joel Finn's TR book!

You can't go wrong with any of the others you list here as well. If I were making that list today, though, I would also include Marcel Massini's Making a Difference, Coachbuilt Road-going Ferraris of the Fifties and Sixties.

Making a Difference is incredible, can't believe it didn't sell out like hotcakes.
