Bwahahahahahahaha!!! I was wondering if Pap was just giving me a run or if he just mistook my comments. But then I went back and read the thread and it appeared as if he added the extra letter or two to Austria!!! LOL

I am sure the land down under is awesome too, but it will take some doing to impress me more that Austria. Amazing views everywhere!

P.S. PAP, too cold here in VA for the 'roos, so just send me a Tortoise or a Koala or something

    You are BOTH fooled! :D:D

Australia is beautiful and has some of the best beaches in the world!! If not the BEST! :D:D

Here is a pic from the tallest residential building in the world, Q1. This pic was taken from the 'observation deck' on the 77th floor overlooking the magnificent beach on the Gold Coast. I love that place! :D:D

Around 85% of Australians live on the East Coast (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne). They have the life, let me tell you. :p:p

Its the other 15% that live in the Outback like schmucks................like myself. :(:(

How does the water stay in the ocean down there? As far as I can tell it should fall upward off of the bottom of the earth and into space :p

Yeah mate, Q1. The building in the 1st pic. :D:D

Pics taken from the 'Q deck' on level 77. 230 metres high.

There were selling apartments there in 2004 when it was half completed. I could have bought a one bedroom for AU $240K and a 2 bedroom for AU $360K. I said to myself you have to be on crack to pay that much for a one bedroom apartment. I was young and naive back then. :p:p

Fast forward 2007, I visit there and go to the sales desk. Cheapest one bedroom apartment was AU $479K on the 9th floor and the cheapest 2 bedroom was AU $660K on the 13th floor!:eek:

    Some interesting facts....

    • Q1 is the World's Tallest Residential Tower and is 322.5 metres high.

    • Australia's only beachside Observation Deck

    • Stunning 360 degree views of the entire Gold Coast, from the surf to the hinterland and beyond.

    • Express Lift 42.7 Seconds

    • QDeck is 230 metres above sea level

    • Views from Brisbane to Byron Bay

    • 1331 steps from the ground to Level 77

    • Q1 is taller than the Eiffel Tower
