My choice for your car would be Blu Chiaro Met (503/C) Those Ferraris look fantastic, rich, and limousine-ish in that color
18767: Original exterior color: Marrone 2.443.221. Original interior color: Beige VM 3218. 7th April 1975 completed. Assembly sequence #454. Pininfarina Body #493/GT. Radio Autovox Melody. Instruments in kilometers. New to official dealer M. G. Crepaldi S.a.s in Milan, Italy. First owner Mr. Aidana. Marcel Massini
Marcel "slumming" on the 400/412 forums? Wow man.... haha....... million dollar barn find restos slowing down?
Does practical enter into the decision? TdF is my favorite all around color, but if it's a true driver, you'll likely end up washing it (or a Black one) after every use, unless it's a grocery run. Then again, you may do that anyway. Silver and Marrone would be better from that respect. I suppose you can split the difference and go with Azurro Metallico or California.
Yes, here you go. One of them is grigio, which looks fabulous. Hey! The second from last picture is MY car! Looks like it was at Lime Rock a few years ago. Small world, ain't it? John
John That was Lime Rock 2004 - I thought you'd notice your car! I remember chatting with you about 400 ownership, as I'd been lusting after one since the 1980s. Obviously, you didn't put me off. Cheers Aidan
Well, I hope you won't hold that against me! ;-) Here's an interesting shot showing how the "big" 400i looks next to my "compact" train station Camry, also in silver/black leather. John Image Unavailable, Please Login
John Sorry, I should have said that you didn't try to to put me off. I remember you being very positive! Aidan
i posted this picture a while back, but look at the size difference to the mercedes...In this case size doesnt matter!!!! lol.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pozzi and Le Mans are both extremely elegant shades of blue but do they work for the 365/400 series ? Pozzi, for example, looks stunning on a 456, but would it look as good on the slightly more 'angular' 365/400 ? I'm still agonising on what, if anything, to do with my 365 and finances being what they are the final decision will have to wait in any case. It's currently the original, and rather battered, Maronne although having looked at the stunning pics of Lee's 400 I'm extremely tempted to leave it as it is ! Confused from Cape Town...
I am not really a computer kind of guy so it is beyond my capability, but it would be swell if some dedicated computer guy could photo shop a picture of a 365gt4 in the color of pozzi blue! I'm still not completely sure what color to go with, and time is running out.
So that's Sir Ivor, magnificent. Just by way of comparison, here's a pic of Ralph Stechow's 365 in Rosso Corsa FER 300/9. Now red rocks, but can anyone come up with a Pozzi and/or Le Mans blue ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow Bruce, thanks for that....... Marrone in bright sunshine against a clear blue sky, fabulous ! Got any more ??????
