some more of the 2009 challenger ! http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_gallery_display.php?fes_gal_id=950
Looks better than I expected, front wing looks fragile although great, I hate the big wing at the back, just got to get used to it the rest smooth lines and looks fantastic IMO. BTW thanks for the 3D photo .
Apart from the wierd rear wing I think it looks stunning. I love the slicks and the wing mirrors look cool. I think the top view is my favourite. I just hope it's fast!
Does anyone have any suggestions why they have named it the F60 this year and not on the anniversary year ?
definitely a tad different - my first impression was that of the new Catepillar road grader than went down our road a couple times last week Carol
weird isn't it? Also why name an F1 car the F60 anyway? Are they going to try selling it to F40 and F50 owners at the end of the season?
Figured it ! The car is named the F60 to celebrate the company's 60th year of Formula 1 competition, which predates the World Championship, which began only in the summer of 1950
The ugliest Ferrari to ever see the light of day becomes their Formula One effort for 2009. The rules are the rules but come on!
The car itself looks good, but both wings (to me) look like crap. Also, does this mean there will be no F60 road car?? Could/would they use the name for both a road and racing car? Mark
I would guess that the next Super Ferrari will not be called the F60 now that they have named the 2009 F1 car with that name ! Might also show that the next next super Ferrrari is still a good while away from being released !
Maybe it's only me, but I couldn't care less if the car looked like ****, because as we all know, it's the speed that really matters.
The Ferrari 312T4 of 1979 was hardly a thing of beauty and that won Ferrari a world title! Also the F60 is way better looking than the horrors of the mid nineties (92-93 and 96).
I still see barge boards and the supports for the mirrors also look like wings to me, as well as the black pieces under the sidepods. I thought these things weren't allowed anymore?
