Richard, as you mentioned you work in NJ but I'm not sure if you mentioned where you live..I assume NJ. What made you go with FoLI v. going to FoCNJ? I'm guessing it was because the Penske dealer wasn't around when you started buying but I figured that now they are here you would be pushed to them. I only ask because I bought my 430 from FoCNJ and I thought we were somewhat captive to the dealer(s) within our State...what I was told may well have been a bunch of crap but I figured I would ask.

I was dealing with Wide World for about 10 years and had a problem with a salesman who is no longer there. WW did not treat me like they should have considering I had a 10 year history of repairs and purchased two cars. I found a car on the web that was at FoLI. It was so easy to deal with FoLI compared to my prior dealings with WW. I know of no limitation to restrict you to an area. There is no reason for me to switch dealers. I could not be treated better.

Tax Dr-2 I wish there were Ferrari owners like you here in Sweden! I would do almost anything to see a Ferrari Enzo upclose, if I ever go to New York seeing your Enzo would be the highlight of my trip!

Living in Southern CA I don't read too many threads in this part of the site, but I wanted to chime in and thank you as many have already, for sharing your love for these cars with other enthusiasts. Coincidentally, I have been working on applications to go back and get my 4th college degree, and ended up writing a bit about this site in one of my essays. It's people like you that make the exotic car community so enjoyable. My hat's off to you, and I expect to do the same when I own one myself. Enjoy them!

Glad to hear the rim wasn't bent. Any chance you'll have her out this week if the weather allows it? If not, I can patiently wait until your return from Florida :)

Richard, nice meeting you at Cavallino. (I think we were also on the same flight back to Newark yesterday afternoon). I have a picture of my 6 year old boy in front of your Enzo which I will post soon. As anticipated, you are a gentleman and a scholar. Thx.

Thanks for the nice words. Cavallino was a blast. I enjoyed seeing all the cars and meeting a lot of great people.
FYI...Yellow/black Scuderia spider is scheduled to be mine early April...CA blue/cream just ordered today to be mine June or July.
Does anyone know the January 2010 dates for the CC at the Breakers?

I'm a longtime lurker on F-chat and happen to be one of the (very) lucky ersatz Tax-Dr sons. We had a great time at Cavallino, the people you meet are just fantastic. I told my fishing/hunting buddy(Tax Dr's REAL son) that what I found very telling was though there were A LOT of very nice cars at Cavallino, throughout the weekend the only machine that always had a crowd milling about was the Tax Dr Enzo. This had far more to do with the pilot (maybe the navigator too, please, Rich?) than the car. A few highlights:
-Purring down Worth Ave en route to various destinations, and getting stopped in the street for pictures(by some of the most jaded consumers on the planet mind you). Goes without saying the babes grabbing each other and pointing was top-shelf.

-Watching Rich cajole people into sitting in the car, then have them buckle up and close the door to get the full perspective. Once they were ensconced he'd look over to me and loudly ask if 1. I knew who owned the car & 2. if I knew when the owner was coming back. The look of terror on their face was priceless, and of course as a concession Rich would have them fire up the Enzo. 3...2...1...CONTACT!!!

-My wife was escorted into an event with Rich in the Enzo. I had the pleasure of chaufferring Mrs. Tax Dr. On the walk in to meet up, a beautiful Fly-Yellow 275GTB burbled past and Mrs. Tax Dr. remarked on how stunning a color it was. I told her not to worry, you'll have one that color soon enough(the Scud 16m). After a pause, "I thought we were getting a light blue one?" to which I replied "uhhh, well, you're getting one of those too"(the Cali). All she could do was shake her head.

-We shot down to Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale to see Rich's guys. I got the nod to take us back, and after dealing with some traffic there was an opportunity to open the Enzo up. No sooner than I got on it, the TaxDr's phone rang...a few of our friends from NY were going the other way down 95S and they HEARD us go by.

I could fill a book with what transpired over a few short days. All in Cavallino was a great event and one that I'll be attending for years to come. Thanks again Rich!!

Thanks for the kind words. You were a big part of what made the trip to the CC great. Look forward to sharing my current and future Ferraris with you and others who appreciate what a Ferrari is and can do. FYI on Sunday just before Enzo was shipped back I took a drive on 95 where you opened up the Enzo after the State Trooper cleared out the left lane and he got off 95. I believe the Enzo jumped the time space continum with you driving and me holding on for dear life. Anyway on Sunday when I was about to open up the Enzo I saw about three State Troopers and several cars pulled over. A State Trooper followed me for several miles, I was in the right hand lane, and this time the Enzo was kept with the speed limit. Nevertheless I was pulled over...he check my ID info...looked over the Enzo...wanted to know why NJ auto was in Florida...then told me too have a nice day. Never got the chance to open it up. I will have to wait for the Spring when the roads are fixed in NJ.

Followed you for 7 miles? I think he was in awe and thinking of a reason to pull you over.

It actually was for a few miles but it felt like it was never going to end. I kept looking in the rear view mirror and he just sat there until he put on his lights. All in all it was not that bad considering I am sure he could have found sometime to give me a ticket but he did not.

It's pretty funny seeing some people register to the forum and then come in this thread as their only post... Tax DR I know you love sharing your passion with others but beware there are more people reading the forum then you may think so be careful posting up publicly when you will be at your office, etc....

Since the "doctor" let me drive his 599 a month ago, I've noticed some peculiar things happen:

    - I've been going over new business strategies and, for the first time, advertising to get new clients.
    - My girlfriend complains that I've been working even more than my usual hectic schedule allows me to.
    - My 348 and Boxster have gone without any love as well (though the weather hasn't been very allowing in that department). They know that I'm sizing them up for replacement with a 360.

Thus, there is only one logical deduction one could make from all of this: Richard is obviously a secret operative sent to spread the Ferrari virus through a grassroots means.
