They need to do SOMETHING with that steeringwheel.

Wonder how the car corners and how fast it dries a full tank in a Vmax attempt.

That has got to the most hideous interior of any car I've ever seen! That too, a monster with 1120 BHP?? WTF were they thinking? Was that "arcade style" steering wheel designed and sold at Toys R' Us?

    The exterior is badass though!

That interior makes the the SSC Aero's actually look nice! Car looks decent from the outside.

    A Bugatti Veyron's would. :)

Here's some info about the car:

In its original guise the GT9 was fitted with a four litre twin-turbo engine that produced a breathtaking 987 bhp. It turns out that this was the second of three engine 'stages' available. The first uses the standard 997 GT3 displacement of 3.6 litre while the most potent Stage 3 sees the power of the 4 litre jump to a neck-snapping 1120 bhp. Taming all this power requires a very delicate right foot and 9ff advise unexperienced clients to start with the Stage 1 engine. Once the 750 bhp have been mastered 9ff can gradually increase the power.

Thats the most pointless car in the world.

the 987hp version couldnt put the power down. This version wont either. It wont rival the veyron. In top speed it will, im sure it may be even faster. But where or when are you actually going to do a top speed run that involves speed beyond 350km/h? Not at a closed event at an airport, because you need to factor in braking zone as well.

If they do a 4wd version it'll make much more sense though.

    Here's an example why:

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ6tfyBuNbs

Nissan skyline R33 GTR, rumoured of 1200hp (which it isnt, it was 'more like a genuine 900bhp' as the guy who owns it now says).

    0-300 = 16.74 seconds = same as veyron.

Sure, it wont be even near the 400+ top speed. Given plenty of space i recon it'll top 340 kmh.

Hideous paint job! It would look cool if it was one color black or red without the stupid stripes and add on painted crap. Could be worth a photoshop gig to clean it up and take a second look.....any volunteers?
The interior is , let's say creative.......Hmmm? put a quilted driving suit on the dash...........kind of what the driver would look like after a bad run with 1120 horsepower.

Or it's possible that he's referring to the fact that the Veyron is a luxury car that was made to go fast. This on the other hand was an all out race car that was simply padded with some stitched leather on the interior and called good. It isn't by any means comparable to the Veyron. And I am not a Veyron lover, I really dislike the car. I just would love to see a similar car that kicks its ass, instead of a race car claiming it's better than a street car.

Im guessing that the steering wheel is like that because the input needed is so small that holding it up top (much like a airplane yoke, will provide better feedback and control from the operator. Im guessing its not even 1 turn lock to lock its meant for straight line speed not cornering

Interior design and exterior paintjobs aside, the 9ff is a drivable car on the street at low speeds in real world traffic. It was tested to out accelerate the veyron at intermediate speeds like 120 mph to 200 mph once the engine and 2 wheel drive traction is in prime range for maximum traction and correcr gearing. The price is only 55$500,000 EU compared to Veyron's $1.2M EU. The transmission is a 9ff design to widthstand 1120 HP and torque(?). the Veyron was developed on a huge VW budget and is losing VW the parent company $$$ every one they sell. The 9ff was developed from the 911 design and modified along the philosophy of Ruf and Brabham (both former associates of Fatthauer the 9ff owner engineer). Mile for mile I think there was more development on a much smaller budget for better reliability in the 9ff than in the Veyron. If the two were to compete in say a 24h race the Veyron would be decimated due to its gross weight disadvantage and aerodynamic large frontal area. I think the engine's efficiency is better as well for the 911 based engine. The burn rate of a full tank for the Veyron is about 5 minutes at near top speed IIRC.
