I always enjoyed 'The Night They Saved Christmas'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087797/ They use to air it all the time when I was a little kid, now they never do. I think I saw it on the Hallmark Channel 2 years ago. I have to watch Home Alone (the first one) every year. It never gets old.
Watch Polar Express with the kids... Every year we go to the Christmas Carol in local theatre...kids love it too.
Platoon. I dont like christmas songs, movies, the whole thing. Its just so cheesy. yegh. glad when its over.
The Star Wars Holiday Special. I actually have a copy of it, which I'll play in the background during holiday parties. It makes everyone cringe if they aren't saying WTF already. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I remember seeing that when it first aired back in '78, it wasn't until Empire Strikes Back when I recovered.
The 1951 "A Christmas Carol" with Alastair Sim - fantastic! (and all "colorized" versions should be run over with a Lambo LM002)
Come clean............We all know you have the hot's for Grandma Great scene: "I SAID, say the blessing"................."I pledge the allegiance......................." Cracked me up! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Christmas Vacation hands down. My friends know I throw a party every year and we watch the movie while eating and drinking way too much. They're already asking when this year's viewing will be. At one time I had Chevy's entire Jelly of the Month Club rant memorized. I may be a bit rusty now. Is your house on fire Clark? Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead? Dad, this tree won't fit in our back yard. It's not going in our yard, Russ. It's going in the living room. Where are you going to put a tree that big? Bend over and I'll show you. You have a lot of never talking to me that way, Griswald! I wasn't talking to you! Tis the season to be merry. Why that's my name! No ****? Where is Eddie? He usually eats these goddam things! I'm going to catch it in the coat and smack it with the hammer! *faints* Mom! Don't move! I should stop. I could probably do damn near the entire script. Not exactly a Christmas movie but Grumpy Old Men is another we're always sure to watch with friends.
