Am checking to see, if its a wise idea, in getting a Virtual office with a phone line in NYC and SF.

Anyone, has any good virtual companies to recomend? Need them to answer and a mailing address.

    Thanks

So not a virtual office, just a New York phone number.

what is the diff between 212 numbers.. etc

    care to share .

Am looking to set up a representative office soon, but market is pretty bad. . . So best option is to set up a virtual office in NY .. which would be able to receive, voicemail and even redirect calls to Cali.. where we have a life office.

I believe 212 is strictly Manhattan and 718 is Queens, SI, Brooklyn and other less awesome places than the HattanMan.

What I meant about the virtual office not being an office just a phone number, isn't that what it is? When you posted "virtual office", I imagined a website with photos and maybe a streaming video of an office space, not just an address and a phone number.

Just get Vonage (or similar IP Tele) with a NY area code.

Much easier solution. From skype you can have it forward to any number you want via many plugins. http://www.skype.com/allfeatures/onlinenumber/

www.vonage.com (there are many others, I use VOX)

Just sign up, open a phone line with the area code you want, connect box to your computer - works over the internet. People will call the local number (718.XXX.XXXX), phone will ring wherever you have the box connected. They will never know where you are unless you tell them. You can have multiple lines with different local numbers.
