To everyone who helped to organize and run this 3-day event - THANK YOU! Next time, could you also arrange for warmer weather (but thanks for not letting it rain).

    Great event, folks!

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Great to see the BBLM back on track. First GTR I've seen, a beautiful black example whose owner arrived at the track with about 100 miles on the odo - hardcore. Had to leave at lunch, but it seemed like the usual good show. FoW does these events well.

It appears the track event was a great success.

I heard a guy in a dark red C5 Corvette was kicking some ass...even chasing an F40. Any details?

I would love to see some pics of the BB LM as well.

Great pics and thanks for sharing.

Does anyone know the history of the BBLM. Was that Ron Spangler's old car?

Ron still has his car in original Daytona garb.

Yes, the F40 was being very conservative....

It was a great weekend. Thanks to all in the blue group that didn't push my little Nissan off the track. I felt honored to be on track with such elite cars and drivers.

    Thanks again,
    Bill

Spangler's old car has "Prancing Horse Farms" livery...it is dark red (maybe nearco?) with gold and black accents.

A guy took out another guys Lambo Merc to take one of the "wounded warriors" out for a ride and totaled the car with the disabled vet in the passenger seat. Ron had a catastropic brake failure when part of the linkage broke and he went for a pretty good ride in the GT40 but the car did not get damaged too bad. Mostly the belly pan underneath. Other than that a nice sunny day. I took the Boss out on Sat and the '66 GT350 on Sunday. Reading and the guys ran a first rate event as usual.

I was there for a short time on Sunday and I have to say, every time the GT350 came around it made me smile. That thing sounds great. The only problem was, you couldn't hear anything else.

    Thanks lashss,
I didn't know if Ron still had his or there was another one in the area. I had the pleasure of hearing a BBLM at Summit a bunch of years ago. It was a sound I'll never forget.

Can't hear anything else from inside the car either. Best was standing right next to it on the chassis dyno at 7700 RPMs in top gear. Even with ear protection it felt like my insides were getting scrambled.

Wasn't there, but the reports I received were that the wounded warrior passenger was taken to the hospital. Don't know current status.

Won't comment on driver. Know him well, though.

Not from the track he wasn't. I watched him board the bus back to Walter Reed.

Then the reports I received were incorrect. I'm glad they were. Car was, in fact, totalled, though, yes?

Don't know about the car. It was pretty beat up, but I am not sure it's totaled. Many estimates were batted about, but who really knows.

Just like you heard the passenger was transported, the estimates ranged from 45k to 110k as the day went on. It's the old "telephone" game.. My car is always faster in the straight by Friday the week after an event than it was on Sunday the day of an event :)
