We have threads for best/favorite Pink Floyd and Zeppelin songs, and the "what are you listening to" thread...so how about one for your favorite song? and why?

Mine is "House of the Rising Sun" by Eric Burdon and the Animals.

    Why?
    1) "I've got one foot on the platform, and one foot on the train. I'm going back to New Orleans, to wear that ball and chain"
    2) Its the song at the end of my favorite movie, Casino, when everyone is getting whacked.

Too hard... I can't even come up with a favorite song per genre. Most likely though, it'll be something from the Dave Matthews Band.

good choice ;) But sadly my idea of classic music while growing-up, remains only this one performance that always stuck with me over the last 30 years. Who knew that 1977 would be a good year for classical music? LOL

Used to love 'Rock & Roll part II' by Gary Glitter, but stopped listening to him & Michael Jackson since they are kid perverts.
