    Hi John,

I've been on the phone with them everyday for the last 2 weeks. Some days, twice a day. I'll call them again tomorrow. If I can't get anything from them tomorrow, I'm just going to have the panels made from scratch.

Manny- call Panel Beaters in Stratford Ct. Steve or Mark. They used to make the panels for Bently & Rolls in the UK and have been in the US for a long time restoring sportscars by hand . The know the whole English Wheel deal and are just absolute pros. They can make anything & they are very easy to deal with. Good luck.

    Manny,
Sorry but calling GT daily to do things they don't want to do just makes them mad. If you want the clip and want to get dimensions or pictures, jump on a plane with your camera. When you drive up to the door, ask nicely if they will let you into their warehouse to take pictures and measurements. They may be nice and let you. They have lots of stuff and infinite patience. Someone, somewhere will want their stuff bad enough to buy it.

I have a driver that looks pretty good. Has been hit badly on left front. Fender, bumper, grill were gone. Insurance company covered it. Local shop fixed it. Few years later fool lady backed up into me in a parking lot. Drove up onto hood, mashed whole front end down about 5". Buckled body just in front of windshield. Insurance again, same shop. Same shop pulled and hammered it all back where it belonged. Anderson Bros. in Goleta. Just had them do a repaint and am happy. Call them. Will not be concours but will look great from a couple of feet. May not need the clip but I am sure it would speed up the process if things are really bad.

    Good luck,

    John

Has anyone used DTG in the Bay area?
    G. Calo on the list has a lot of experience and sources to draw from.

Yes, this is the typical style of GT Car Parts. If you're a customer then you're a bother, not a valued asset. After a similar experience 12 years ago, I've been able to find everything elsewhere.

Jacques in Los Angeles started supplying all parts for Maseratis and has found that many of his suppliers also supply Ferrari parts the same as Rutlands, Partsource, McCann, etc.
Very active and more than just a retailer, he has a full machine shop and solicits "parts wanted" from owners for remanufacturing.

    http://www.maseratisource.com/servlet/Page?template=about

He is rebuilding his website, and does most of his sales through Ebay
    http://stores.ebay.com/Maseratisource_Ferrari-330-365-246_W0QQcolZ2QQdirZQ2d1QQfsubZ4QQftidZ2QQtZkm

I was able to buy several items for nearly half of the Rutlands price:
    - suspension bushings
    - brake fluid reservoirs
    - drive gear

Last month Fchat member champtc bought upper & lower ball joints from Jacques at the Maseratisource and exclaimed he saved $200.00+ USD over other sources and was very pleased about the quality.

    Alex,
Don't know if 206 cap is special. Seems to me that I saw an unusual picture once. But, all 246 caps are the same as Fiat caps of the same era. At least they are better than a rag to keep the gas in as you look for the proper cap. Worth a try.

Yes the 206 cap is special as it is an exposed locking cap, and appears to be of a chrome finish.
We actually make new caps for the 246/Daytonas.
    Thanks

I thought I'd started a thread, but can't find one & this seems like a place someone might search.

Exact reproduction Label plate sets for the 246 Dino are now available. Major difference is that the lettering/icons will NOT scratch off with use. See picture below & this Fchat thread:

Also available are the lever bezels in unbreakable show chrome finished Aluminum. See picture below & this Fchat thread:
