Excellent race Massa and Kimi Excellent race Ferrari It looks like Massa has got "the eye of the tiger"(cue Survivor)
Ha Ha Kimi didn't care for the Non Alcoholic champagne. It'sgood to see both Ferrari drivers with a smile on their faces.
Many people on this forum were talking very negatively (Myself included) about Massa and his performance at the start of the season. I'm glad he performed to his potential today and proved many naysayers wrong.
Ron Dennis said that Hamilton selected the wrong engine program at the start. And that no one could say whose fault Hamilton's crash with Alonso was... yeah, right.
is it just me, or was the quickest finish to a F1 race in recent memory? just over an hour start to finish. ferrari 1-2
Florian, there was a big speed difference out of that corner ,I think FA was playing silly with him, but it isn't FA's fault IF he didn't touch his brakes I'am sure this will be looked at don't no what the rule's are just backing off for no reason though. We shall see ,I think FA has a few more fan's of late though..
If he slowed for no reason he will more than likely be fined and or placed back in the next race. At worse a race ban.
Congratulations to Massa and Kimi.......great driving. Today's results...... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't think FA was so stupid to brake check Hamilton. Causing a crash at those speeds would have been incredibly dangerous for him, too. We'll see what the stewards say..
Its completely legal (i dont remember any rule on brake checking), but knowing the stewards and having lewis on the losing end, who knows?
MINTTTTTTTT FERRARI 1-2. what a boring race though, dont like it at all, it dull and colourless (white everywhere)
Massa can qualify, and he can lead from the head of the pack. Off of that, not so much. He will fade with heat. Kimi...pretty much as expected. Fast, excellent race pace. **** qualifying. Lukewarm qualifying is his biggest drawback. It's a new start for BMW. Going from middling results to fighting at the top; it's a huge learning curve for everyone on the team. They have graduated from the middle of the pack to leading it. Welcome to the big leagues, guys. This team and their drivers have the longest races to run and have to cover more distance than McLaren or Ferrari in terms of learning how to compete to being utterly competitive. Amazing results so far. Kudos to BMW; they have earned it. Hats off to Kubica for not fading away and keeping his car lit start to finish. Good stuff and a strong result.
+1 Kimi's performance was pretty great considering him not being happy with the car all weekend...passing RK for 2nd, early pit and then a long pit, still easily keeping the pressure up on Massa, and now leading the WDC.....the guys amazing! Congrats again to Ferrari!!!
Heidfeld: "The situation at McLaren is the same as last year, only Hamilton is now called Kovalinen" -> interesting point of view
Norbert Haug: "We have to see what was going on, I believe it was a problem" -> you don't say, Norbert!
All races(cept Monaco) go for a tad over 300km. That's why each race has a difference amount of laps. Either you were watching a delayed telecast and they didn't show you some of the race or the clock you have needs to be fixed
i can't help but notice that Mclaren has been strugglingf or 2 races now. Australia was a fluke win, because Ferrari was way down the grid. now, i'm really wondering if Fred did indeed bring 6 tenths to the team....
