And although these particular shots weren't included in the Exotic Car World online advert, they remain amongst my favourites. :)
These were sent to me by ECW proprietor Mike Weaver, just before the car was sold to the new (current) owner in early 2003.
Hmmm. Not sure everything about the model is quite 'real', either. ;)

So, are you ready for a little bit of FULL FRONTAL NUDITY to lighten up this thread ? :D

This same car which featured in the article linked above, and uploaded below, was also used by Lee Noble / Sienna Cars as a 'demonstrator' - for a little while, before it was exported to Japan. It also appeared in JH Classics' magazine adverts.

.... and as an 'accessory' in a soft porn magazine shoot ! ;)

Let me explain. I think I have a pretty comprehensive collection of U.K., U.S. and European car magazines, covering just about every article ever published on any P4 replica. You name it: Which Kit; Kit Car; KCI; Custom Car; L'Automobile; Option Auto, and all the various Petersen's publications - I've either got copies of the magazines, or scans of the articles ..... But I'm missing 'one or two' others.

In 2004, I was contacted by an ex-employee of Sienna Cars (Lee Noble's sub-contract turnkey kit builders). He told me a story about a day he was given a 'special assignment' - to drive this same Noble P4 out to a country house for a photo shoot. With a nude model !!
He sent me a very small scan of a test polariod that was given him, as a souvenir, by the photographer. See below. This edited version, minus n*pples and very furry p*bes has been approved and edited by 'DM_n_Stuff' (before anybody reports the post). :p

Graham couldn't remember the name of the magazine the photoshoot later appeared in. It was probably one of the UK top-shelf soft porn magazines, such as Mayfair or Penthouse, sometime late in 1989 or the early 90's. Anybody got a copy they'd like to sell - or scan ? ;)

The car was previously advertised for sale on (the now defunct) www.ZeGarage.com website in December 2005 ....

Except, as can be clearly seen from the last two photos above, and the engine compartment .... it isn't quite what it seems. ;)

This car is a bit of a mélange. It comprises (nicely modified) Noble P4 fiberglass bodywork fitted on a L.H.D. GTD40 chassis and is
.... powered by a 24V Peugeot PRV V-6. It was built by A.C.S. Corrèze, for a customer who also owned a matching yellow GTD40.
If you're interested in reading up more about this particular car (it was a bit of a 'learning curve' for me too), check out this thread on www.GT40s.com:

Sometimes I even amaze myself with my online 'detective work' - in my various efforts to track down P4 replicas for my register. :)

    Remember that French-built / owned 'Noble' P4 replica, based on a GTD40 chassis, detailed in posts #56 - #58, overleaf ?
Well - I think it's been sold. Not only that, but I think I've almost tracked it to it's new owner. ;)
It started earlier this evening, when I ran a quick 'Google' search on 'P4 Repliqué' (as opposed to 'P4 Replica') ....
I found this photo - taken at Automedon 2007, Le Bourget, Paris on 13th October this year:

    http://picasaweb.google.com/philippe.cuchet/IntRieursDAutomobiles/photo#5131642958495749266

The car's interior looked vaguely familiar:

So, then, in my efforts to find any more photos that might be 'out there', I added 'Automedon' into my 'Google' search ....

.... which led me to this 2-page thread on the French www.forum-auto.com :

http://www.forum-auto.com/marques/ferrari/sujet28-18060.htm (scroll to the bottom of the thread) and ....
    http://www.forum-auto.com/marques/ferrari/sujet28-18095.htm

.... and three more photos of the car - one of them looking very similar to the photos from the Zegarage.com online advert:

So I then substituted 'Chantilly' for 'Automedon' in my extended Google 'P4 Repliqué' search .... and I was soon 'on a roll'. :)

A couple more (less useful) photos turned up in other threads, but then I found this link to an album on a French photo-hosting website:

http://pavues.free.fr/albumphoto/index.php?/category/46 ..... which included 3 more (only 640x480-sized) photos of the car.

However, this time, for a change, the car's license plate hadn't been photoshopped out in one of them. :)

These photos were taken at another 'petrol-heads' meeting in Chantilly - almost a month later on 18th November this year.

The car's new owner has already started making a few slight changes - new wing mirrors .... and adding 'replica' decals !! ;)
If any of you are familiar with the French vehicle licensing system, then you'll know that the last 2 digits of a licence plate represent the administrative 'department' that the car is registered in. This case, '60' being Oise, north of Paris - principal town .... Chantilly. :)

Pete Skudder ('PSk') will like this, if he ever stumbles across this thread .... because it's got an Alfa connection. ;)

That 'Google' search on 'P4 Repliqué Chantilly' also produced this link to thread on a French Alfa Romeo forum:

    http://www.alfanatiques.com/forum/lien-association-volants-de-lespoir-vp227497.html (scroll down past the old photos of Jim's P4 .... Yawn :D )
There's that same little lad from the second photo in post #64 .... along with the car's proud new owner in the third photo down !! :)

This is a car that I've had on my register for many years. It's a much-modified Noble P4, powered by a Cosworth Turbo 4 cylinder motor.
It was originally built for Peter Van Hooke, drummer with Mike and the Mechanics rock band, but has been in France for the last 10 years.

It was last sold to the car's current owner, at an OSENAT auction in Fontainbleu, France, in December 2006 - for €40K Euros.
Over the last year, he has attempted to sell it in various French online advertisments, asking as much as €99K Euros.
The car's previous owner, Pascal Roby, bought it at a Artcuriel-Briest auction in Paris, in November 2004 for a mere €31,776 Euros.
I assisted Pascal obtaining parts to get it roadworthy again, and he did quite a bit of detailing on it, before reluctantly deciding to sell.

    See: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=120216615298

Opening bid price (reserve unknown) is set at €75K.
