Be careful Emil - Have fun.
Thanks, guys. After a rough couple of weeks... I'm finally "in the game" for this event. I cannot wait. PS: The car crossing in to Mexico was a big deal. With all the precautions in the US and Mexico to stem the flow of stolen cars across the border, it was very much a customs challenge! But now that is officially behind us... GAME ON!
The car looks amazing! I found this off the Unlimited Class website. Is this a photoshop of what it looks like? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unfortunately, we were unable to develop that design given the changing requirements from the race organizers. The final decal package will be installed tomorrow prior evening. Today was tech day. Lots of waiting, but we passed. With flying colors. Tomorrow, we finish tech prep, run the qualifying stage a bit BEFORE actual qualifying on Thursday! http://lacarreradaily.blogspot.com/ More to come, but I just have to say this: So far, this has been an AMAZING experience. Absolutely amazing.
Emil you are out of control hah, lucky you wish I were there running side by side... Please be safe and of course, keep us updated
Just updated the blog again. Trying like MAD to upload some in car video to YouTube, but the Internet here is the suck. Full report on the blog: http://lacarreradaily.blogspot.com Oh, and they announced live GPS tracking: http://panamericana.waypointinfo.com (Of course, I'm not listed in the system yet...)
You don't need a GPS to know we qualified 2nd in class and 13th overall. http://lacarreradaily.blogspot.com
Emil - that's a blast! Are the "route book" given an hours before the race begins or are you running on pace notes? I see you're using Terra Trips odo....
You get your route book when you check in. We got ours on Monday, so we've had some time to study it. Past route books are available when you register for the event, so what's in it is not a total mystery. the TerraTrip has been a godsend. It's probably the single best investment we made for this race. The last 2 days have been nutty. Went sledding for a bit in the GT3. Video is on the blog... http://lacarreradaily.blogspot.com
