she is in my thoughts........... I wish her the best
Wade, You and your wife are in my prayers. I hope she has a speedy recovery. Strength and comfort to you both! Bill
I'll keep both of you in my thoughts. Going through a tremendous struggle often leads people to a stronger feeling of closeness and a bond that no difficulty can ever break. Great news that she can move her thumb! Hoping for further signs of recovery. BT
I don't know you, but you both will definitely be in our prayers! Life is tricky (I know, my wife has MS) but it's how you react to it that counts. Sounds like your wife has a great husband, that's a good start! In our prayers, Bill & Kristy
I am so sorry to hear about this accident. God Speed to her for a complete recovery. All of you will be in our thoughts. Don & Carolyn
Sorry to hear of your wife's accident, will say a prayer. I can't begin to tell you i know what she's going or will go thru in recovery, but FWIW, in 1972 i lost all 4 fingers of my right hand (i'm right handed and ride motorcycles avidly) and i went thru a lot of pain physicaly and emotionaly. The ordeal really took a toll on me to say the least,i was 21 years old and i felt my life as i knew it was over, never twist to a throttle again. I really believed God stepped in and put a hurdle in front of me to show me i could get thru it (i'm not an overly religious person).I had dropped into depression, then one day an old ''hippie'' friend stopped by and said check out my bike,i jumped on it and grabbed the throttle with my thumb and what hand i have left and reved the motor, as they say the rest is history, still can't use front brake but i've been riding ever since.Sorry for the long winded story about me,but i believe,God will help you both thru this ordeal and you'll come out the other side a stronger couple.Never give up and keep up the faith.May God bless you. Bill
Wade, All the best to Lori and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Certainly there is excellent medical care available in the area, and it appears that you are being well looked after. Keep us posted as she progresses. Bob & Nancy
Anything you need Wade just shout out........we got some heavy lifters down here at the Med Center, I am writing from there now...... Alan and Valeria
Thank you all for the encouraging words and keeping her in your prayers. The latest is. She is off the Morphine drip She is out of the Aspen Collar ( spine cleared of injury ) all IV's have been removed except one She is moving her thumb but still cannot feel it. The plastic surgeon has decieded not to operate on her face, he says the fractures should mend nicely. Her eye socket they are going to leave alone as well. She is experiencing double vision but the doctor said that should correct itself and if not then surgery would be needed. She is set to come home today as long as her nausia stops. She and I are very optimistic for recovery and with the hundred of emails and enough flowers to plant a garden she has received she knows there are a lot of people out there hoping her the best. So once again I would like to thank each and everyone of you all for all of the kind and positive words you have expressed. Wade
I'm glad to hear things are going well. I wish you both the best and hope she will achieve a full recovery.

sorry to hear about the tragey. Moving her finger is a tremendous improvement. Hopefully she fully recovers. My prayers are with you.
very sorry to hear this fellow F-chatter. I will pray to Saint (Padre) Pio, with whom by Dad grew up with in the little town of Pietrelcina Italy and who I am convinced has interceded on the behalf of our family and frients many times.
I just saw this thread. My family's thoughts and prayers go to you and Lori. Godspeed on a full recovery. Bob
