Yes! He is back this weekend! Im going to call him now and make sure he's coming. Maybe he can take the 997 turbo? That would be a nice treat. Cant wait to see your 335 again

Haha. I'm supposed to trade one tomorrow, with some MINOR body damage....which means....we can do SOME more damage...mwahaha!!! -Marc
First let me say how pleased I am that the theme of this run is coming through loud and clear. Its a gathering of enthusiast (note: not elitest) North and South who actually drive there cars. Secondly I went on plenty of rallies long before I could afford what I own. I admired the exotics and it inspired me to achieve. This is a healthy thing speaking for myself only. I am an enthusiast of many marques and think we live in what will one day be called the golden years of the car hobby. Bring em out baby!!! Now on a second note I have noticed a significant increase in the people letting me know they are comming so I will try to keep the list up to date best I can: New update OK so far we have Jon 550 Barchetta Luke 355dreamer 355 Jim AKA:three pipe jims 308 Damon G35 Steve SCMDCFG 355 Barry 355 Cyndi 360 Modena Joe Zebra 308 Noah BMW 335i Tony The holminator Porsche Modial Merle Marc MABf355 MDshore 348 (or the short bus) Joe BMW 335i Jerry 911 Porsche C2 Nick 73 Carrera RS Bruce Porsche 911 Valdis Porsche Boxster Dododge Red Lotus elise Barcheta 308 Bob and Josh 308 GTB Jeff Eurospec E30 M3 Tom Porsche 911 Carrera Vince Porsche 993 C4S garnetredcoupe ??? Here's the manufacturers' list (through Post # 187): 15 - Ferrari 12 - Porsche 10 - BMW 04 - Lotus 02 - Chevrolet 02 - Dodge 02 - Noble 02 - Subaru 01 - Infiniti 01 - Undeclared 01 - Honda motorcycle TOTAL....52 (Jon, if Zebra 308 and Joe Zebra 308 are the same person, then he's double-counted on your list and on my list, as well)
NomadM3...Thanks for updating the list for me. Jerry..... it appears we had counted Zebra 308 twice. Thanks for the continuation of the count down. BTW Zebra308 I vote for the Ferrari 328. Jon
sorry i dont feel im an elitist .. just dont want to ride the twisties between my moms car and a car my neighbors kid drives to school. just doesnt float my boat. i drive 900 miles a week in a good old audi a6 folowing bmw's , porsches etc. around the beltway... last thing i want to do is do it more on the weekend! especially 43 + cars gets too complicated . theres nothing like spirited driving with another ferrari or modified porsche.(regular porsches are still vw's ! ) if im an elitist , why doesnt everyone just drive their beater daliy driver, then see what kind of outcome there is.. you see everyone wants to drive along with the ferraris and exotics..because its more exciting than a bmw ...same goes for me.. no offense IMO
Lately I don't comment on negative comments, but I don't want turbos7903's hard work to be spoiled. I had a good time last year at this event and I hope to again. I did have a couple of concerns regarding safety issues last year and a few of us have already posted those concerns in this thread. Let me give some facts that keep MDshore348 comments in perspective. Last year MDshore348 showed up to this event on bald tires. He later charged up a twisty hill in his car, with those cold tires, tailgating another car and slid off the road into the woods, damaging his car and forcing everyone behind him (90 percent of the cars in the run) to slam on their brakes. Draw your own conclusions from those facts.
LOL.... I don't have as much of a problem with non-exotics but I do have a problem with motorcycles and cars mixing..... for a variety of reasons.....
I believe MDShore348 was behind me when this happened and I was going about 10-15 MPH, and he wasn't tailgating. So, if someone had to slam on their brakes they were not paying attention. As much as you (Tony) would like to think it was a big deal, it wasn't!
Darren, If you remember last year there was small groups of cars leaving at timed intervals. And if our group was just like last year we can have a spirited drive and enjoy ourselves again. And I dont think that Turbo would have a problem with us being grouped together again. The people that I'm referring to are: Myself Ed Tony Barchetta Barry Luke Cyndi Darren Nate
You DO Realize that there are PLENTY of BMW's and Porsches that are more expensive and better performing than your 348, right? I'm not saying you don't have a great, fun car; but JUST because you have a Ferrari doesn't give you the credibility to act so high-and-mighty. Just come back down to earth and enjoy driving with fellow enthusiasts. You'll probably have fun. You could also take some notes on how Jon conducts himself. I hate this e-drama, so back to the Mason Dixon thread! Joe
