i dont know who bought it... but it spent years picking up dust in there work shop... i think till they closed the work shop and sold off some of the cars....this was in riyadh and not in jeddah

i could do a chek on the number plate... but they changed the plates ages ago.. our new plates look diffrent 3 numbers 3 letters..

    Salman and "abunawafff"
Thank you in advance. I would be most happy if we could finally identify this rare car.

On 21 March 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO chassis number 55235 was delivered new by Swiss Ferrari importer SAVAF Geneva (Société Anonyme pour la Vente des Automobiles Ferrari) to first owner Asmail Abobtaim, PO Box 3008, in Ryadh, Saudi Arabia. The car, however, was always kept in Switzerland. I don't think the car on my photographs is this car.

Probably known to all experts, but I'd mention it anyway - in the recent Jurgen Lewandowski 288 book, there's only one 288 reported to have been initially sold through Al Ajda, #58325 in July 1985 (#55235 is reported to have been sold by SAVAF Geneva / Al Ajda Auto, whatever it means to have both vendors mentioned).
However, there's some time between 1985 and 1988, and the register in the book does not mention the original vendor for all cars.
