Just spent almost the entire day in 4884. Enthusiasm satisfied. Therapy completed.....I even had a flat tire, replaced it, and kept on driving. I need a drink!

Correct - but the F1 is a masrterpiece in the automotive history. It clealy stands on top of EVERY other sportscar!

The Miura is a georgeous looking car -we both know this, Joeeee!!!- but when it comes to driving the LP 400 is much, much better!

The complete package of the F1 makes it a real "Bingo-Car" and: it was build in much lesser numbers than the Miura and even the Miura SV!

    Ciao!

    Hi Joe,

I have a photo of the engine of this one (4280). Did you heard of one Miura was converted to propane (!!!), chassis no 4874 for emission issues in USA?

I have some photos of your ex-5064 in white. Don't feel guilty about your restoration Joe. Not an original SV, not a lack of taste, just a sublime result. What is important in my opinion is the intention at the time you did it, it was then correct for you. What a color combination! You dared.

It was my first attempt of 3 cars to get it right. Please forgive me... and yes, in hindsight, I do beleive that you usually do not get it right first time. As the saying goes: "Practice....

The last USA version Miura delivered right Joe? I noticed it doesnt have the correct USA DOT spinners in that picture.

Part of me has grown very fond of the octagon spinners.

    Joe,

Is this not the new color combo you just re-painted #5080 in as well??

Why repeat it if it was a mistake 3 cars ago??

    Roy,

Errr, I dont think you understood at all....

The "mistake" with 5064 that I have been suggesting I made was that in the course of a hugely expensive restoration, I should have considered staying with the car's original white/white/gold livery for the sake of posterity. At the time I didnt care. Today I feel a car as important as a Miura SV should be restored back to its original livery IF you are also going to the trouble of a full restoration. BUT, thats my own very personal opinion.

With 5080: The car itself was not repainted, just the wheels & sills were. Also you are suggesting this was done by me (LOL, Im not THAT good). It was done by Bobileff for the owner and the only thing that matters is that both restorer and client think it looks much better as a result.
Now IF 5080 were to be TOTALLY restored, in keeping with how I feel these days, I think it should go back to its original "Azzuro Cielo" livery.
Lastly, just to clarify for others: 5080 is not my car but belongs to the owner of 5096. My SV is 4884,finished in boring "Miura Rosso" red paint as it was the day it was built.

Some cars look great under certain circumstances and conditions. This is one of those cars. Now you see what all the effort for professional photography is all about.

Mhmm. Overall proportions look strange. Looks like a modified fiberglass kit replica. Some were "produced" in England in recent years.

I wonder if you're right. The car has nice lines but looks different in a few important areas. Either it's been significantly customized or?

Someone try to get more photos.
