I bought a small cavallino on Ebay, had a Ferrari part number, and screwed it on to the license plate bracket.

The exhaust is a Borla. Kinda quiet.

    Thanks, now I see it.
You must have the european license plate bracket that has the same black space showing to the left of your license plate.

Yes, good idea. I just made a plate to adapt my regular plate on as well but made it as wide as the brackets so no extra space for a horsie. I might redo it one of these days and steal your idea.

I like the lowered look but have to wonder if the ride suffered at all and how about unexpected dips in the road, any problems? I like how mine rides, quite comfortable and safe from tires hitting the inner fenders and so forth.

The suspension work was done by Carobu. I asked for about 15% more stiffness, and I wanted the front tires to have equal spacing with the fender opening all the way around.

The result was much better than I had imagined. They were very careful with the spring rates, therefore the ride is very good. There is no undulation, it is not at all harsh. I have nothing to compare with as I had this work done before I ever drove the car, but it corners very well. It is actually less stiff feeling than my new Audi A6 with the sport suspension.

The only time I have any rub, is when I slowly go over the drainage area on the driveways at my storage area, never while I am driving the car on the road. Never a problem even if I fail to miss a sunken sewer lid on the road.

I highly recommend having this done to any Boxer, it improves the look infinetely. I also recommend keeping the original springs in the event you ever want to go back to the factory SUV look.

I had Carobu body color the mirrors, rear roof spoiler, and rear deck lid. The car had a modified radiator, non-original radio, no equalizer, non-original steering wheel, so I did not feel uncomfortable making these cosmetic changes to a car I consider a driver, not a concourse winner. I plan to put 18" Kinesis wheels on it later this year.

    Yeah,yeah,yeah!
That's exactly what I want to do with my car!

Ron, do you have any idea of the spring lengths and stiffness that Carobu used on yours?
And if not, would you mind if I mentioned your name, so I could get the same set-up?

Your car looks very very agressive, and is definitely what a boxer should look like!
    Thanks for the pics!

    ron,

that car is w/o question x-rated! please refrain from driving it in the pressence of girls under 21 because it is clearly unfair to all others!

the owered look is clearly what i hope to do w/ my car as well. jtr and i have casually discussed it but not to any serious extent as yet.

there are things to modernize our cars that will not be irreversibleas far as change goes, that we should all do together so as to benefit from economies of scale. i hope i speak for most on this site and when i bought my car, it was for keeps and to be the cornerstone of my small collection. let's make these cars what they should be together and let's make this a boxer lovefest!!

    Thanks for the pictures ron.

    No problem.

I've wanted a Boxer since they first came out when I was in high school. Finally last year I found the one that "felt" right. I also knew from the first day I viewed a Boxer in person, I would have to find a way to lower it so it looked right. Luckily it all came together in one place, and I am pleased with the results, both aesthetically, and performance.

And I don't worry about the jail bait. At this point in life I've discovered that women don't reach their true sensuality until they are over 35. I'll take a real woman like that over a 25 year old child any day.

Anyone have an idea how many were done in green? Maybe the easier question would be how many Boxers were not red or yellow?

Thanks Peter, lowering these cars just a bit makes them even more aggressive IMO
