    Any updates yet? :)

Antwerpen (Belgium), Italian Car Show, September 1993
I took pics of many cars, including this black 308.
Now take a look in the left top corner, there's one of the
Moneytron-Mondials we're talking about, the last time I saw it.
Unfortanetely I don't have better pics of it... sorry... :(

Can u believe i only spotted this thread yesterday. Anyway i for one am not dissapointed that the cars turned out to be the mondials. in my opinion they are part of the ferrari racing history and should be saved.

does anyone know anything about the racing history of the two cars?

plus what are they actually worth in their current state?

I could be wrong but as far as I know the two cars only competed in the 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 1989 for the Moneytron Team of J.P. Van Rossem. One of the cars (driven by Bertrand Gachot, Harald Huysman, Keke Rosberg) finished the race as last but was not classified, because it had not covered sufficient race distance.
The other car (driven by Mauro Bianchi, Pascal Witmeur, Philippe Martin) didn't finish. They gave up after 36 laps because of a tire problem).

    So far the racing history...

Hmmm, not great history but still better than a boring road car that has done nothing than cause a coffee spill ;)

I'll take the Keke Rosberg car ... after all how many people own cars that a F1 WC drove in anger?

and wasn't he the dude who won the first aussie F1GP?? i was only 9 years old, but was obsessed with it back then coming to my home town...

"adelaide comes alive in 85"... briefly, but they managed to restore it to it's usual dead state again. :p

Still in contact with the seller.
He is not in a hurry and I am not also. (not wanting to drive up prices :))
The seller is out of the country a lot that's why we didn't arrange a date yet to look at the cars. It seems they are in very bad condition and not 100% sure they are worth it to buy. I'll keep you all updated in this tread as soon as I have new information.

Guys I hope you'll save these Mondials and restore them. They were raced in the Belgian Touring Car Championship (Procar 1990 series) so not only in the 24 hour race at Spa and did not bad against stiff competition (BMW M3, Audi V8). I've seen them race and were fighting for the lead (with Eric van de Poele at the wheel) at Zolder. Very exciting! Unfortunately a wheel broke off otherwise Van de Poele would have won. Great memories...
Historically these are the best Mondials one could find (don't know of any other race Mondials).

    Ciao, Peter

I contacted the owner several times but he was totally not interested in the cars but also not interested to sell them to someone.
I asked a few times to make an appointment but he did'nt want to make time for it. :(:(:(
After a while I let it rest.
