A friend of mine bought a NASCAR at a relatively modest price. As soon as he started racing it, the bills started to pile up...

Oddly enough some of the folks on this thread (Noel, Gilles27) could probably tell you their own racing stories. Maybe there is a correlation between guitars and racing?
    :)

On a different note: Does anybody have some of those "insane" guitars from the seventies? You know the ones with double and triple rows of cords, stuff used by Genesis and ELP. I always wondered how the players managed those monsters. Just like the guys surrounded by 20 synthis.

It looks like I am going to have to start posting some guitar pics on this thread. You guys have really thrown down some nice vintage gear I must say.

Some one needs to post a picture of Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee playing double necks at the same time ala Xanadu! Any Rush heads on the board will get the ref.
Andreas would get a kick out of that picture.

If I am not mistaken the green guitar posted is a PRS.

    Thanks.
    Vince

I see some ultra long haired dude in a angel like night gown playing songs from Yess and Genesis. Black stage with one light blue spot on the triple neck guitar. Synthesizers whaling followed by a ten minute drum solo.

Wolfgang amazing pictures. Tele's are my favorite and the black guard is so desireable right now. You had quite a collection of custom color guitars. Do you have a Stevie Ray guitar pick you might want to sell? I saw Stevie in concert at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ 2 weeks before he died. One zemaitis is original and the other is the new greco model. The Countach is a friend of mines who is to busy to try and sell it so I am selling it for him.

Wow, Wolfgang! An amazing collection. I love the Strats and the PRS. Now I have to go buy more guitars. I was 10 steps through the 12 step program and you blew it for me!

These are the closest things I have to collectibles: they're just Epiphone replicas. But, if past korina replicas and reissues are any indication, these may well end up collectibles someday. My V is starting to show some wear and tear, however, because I play it all the time. I can't help it---it's a great player, although the shape took a little getting used to. I just got the Explorer so I'm still coming to grips with it. I need to set it up.

My perception is that the korina gives them a very funky, midrange-y tone compared to other guitars, but one of these days I'd really like to side-by-side the korina guitars with their mahogany Gibson counterparts.

Yes, hard to see on this pic but you are an expert its a ´70th Byrdland in Wine Red.

My shops were in Mannheim and in Plankstadt Germany.
I have closed my public stores in December 2004 and retired.
Today, its just & only fun and part time business.
No, I have sadly never met Scott Chinery (R.I.P.) or sold him a guitar.

Main business was and still is to attend all the major guitar shows in the USA and run a booth there: Dallas, Arlington, Costa Mesa (OC), New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles....and a few others.
Upper row from left - right:
1954 Stratocaster, 1955 Stratocaster, 1961 Stratocaster, 1965 Stratocaster, 1965 Stratocaster, 1968 Stratocaster (rare MN), 1965 Telecaster (rare MN), 1968 Telecaster Pink Paisley, 1965 Telecaster LPB, 1968 Telecaster SB, 1968 Telecaster Blond
Lower row from left - right:
    ....lots of fine Gibson stuff;)

Here is an other pic; same room just a few meters on the right side.

    enjoy
