is it a good price ?

    Renaud,

That is hard to say. It depends upon the overall condition of the car. It is not cheap, but it is definitely not a price that puts it off the market.

Good luck with the car. Make sure that the whole history is there. And try to negotiate a new major service in the price!

    Ciao,

the price sounds tempting despite the high mileage on the clock. I wouldn't recommend a 2001 F1, but if it has a manual gearbox, no problem.
But I'd rather buy a 2002 (second half of the year) or later production, they are more reliable.

There are so many used 360s on the market, negotiate well and insist on the 45.000 km service before signing the contract.

Good luck and keep us informed,

    Matt

    Hi Matthias,

    Long time since.....!
How are you? Still own your crappy old 360? :)
What is wrong with the 2000/2001 F1 gearboxes?

First F1 360 series: Always problems with the tightness!!!! The F1 gear box is working with HIGH pressure and if 1 shaft seal ist just a little bit leaky you can not shift anymore. Repair is always very expensive.
With the 2nd series, after sumer 2002, the problem was solved with other and better shaft seals.

    Hey Ton,

good to talk to you again... Yeah, it was quite a busy year for me 2005, I was travelling all around Europe and never had time to say 'Hi' to my old Ferrari buddys, or attend any Ferrari meeting or even drive my 'crappy' 360 ...

Now everything's settled and I'm back on track!

Wolfgang just gave an excellent answer to your question. But to be honest, since I experienced the 430 F1 a couple of months ago, I really feel back to stone age, flipping the 'elephant ears' close to the steering wheel of my 360.

    The 430 F1, such a smooth bastard ...

    Hope to see you soon,

    Matthias

So, what is keeping you from buying an F430? :)

I am looking forward to seeing you again on one of our Ferrari meetings this year!

:) nothing kept me from ordering a 430.

This time it will be a black one, matching the colour of my soul ...
Date of delivery, hopefully, September 2006.

    Cheers,

    Matt

The 360 coupe, IMO is better looking than the 430, and you should be able to buy a superb used, low mileage one for around $100,000 US if you really look hard...
