Vasco, nothing exciting happened there. Its an offical Ferrari dealer in Germany. His name is LAIS POWER and he is located in Stuttgart, Germany. I shot this pic a few weeks ago when we visited him for a test drive with the F430. He got this Ferrari.......didn`t know what to do....stripped it out and its now a statue in his backyard.
oh man, i have to admit i'm a bit disappointed here... but nevertheless, they are still ferrari's, which is a great thing after all. and maybe they're not worth the biggest bang now, the may become more importantt and respected after some years! thaks roel, for digging out my barnfind!!
No way to be disappointed. I think it's just a great discovery, be realistic and understand that it's quite unreal to find a classic forgotten V12 Ferrari in a barn here in Belgium. Good to know that the Moneytron Mondials are here somewhere, now let's jump to step 2, make an appointment with the man, take a look at the cars, make the necessary pictures and post them here in this + 1.000 views thread! I would work out some numbers with the guy Roel, bad shape no big deal, if it's dirt cheap it could be worth the deal just for displaying purposes. I still have same space left in my garage. Cordiali saluti, Joren REMANS
Thanks Joren, I wil contact the owner later this day and keep you all updated in this tread. And to all the guys who are not satisfied with the find, just %$%&#&!!!
Guys, I'm not the least disappointed with this find, these are BELGIAN RACED Mondials! How many Mondial owners worldwide can tell they have a car with race history. OK, the cars could be a pile of sh!tty bits now, wonder what can be done with time, effort and money. The money part wouldn't be that big as those cars are beyond the 'return to 100%' point anyway and you could get them cheap (sell out shares!!) Hey Ferrari-sharing!! Get the trailered into the Spa Ferrari Days, park them in the middle of a bunch 360's and see which cars get the most attention!! I for certain would love to see those cars back under the sun, even if they just would be display cars. Jurgen
Thanks Jurgen, post of the day!!!! I am thinking the same as you about it. The shares id isn't a bad thought!!!
I for myself never said that i'm not satisfied with the find!! I just know that the cars are probably in a very bad shape!! And for restoring them,.... well it's gonna cost a fortune!! BUT they DO deserve to be restored!!! It's indeed a fact that they are unique cars!!! Mondials with racing history!!! And thats why i'm a little bit affraid that if you (Roel) buy them, that it will be for the parts (like you allready said!!!) and thus parting them out!!! And THAT would indeed be a pitty!!! I just hope that if someone buys them, it will be for restoring them and NOT to make money out of them by parting them out!!!! I DO know that Ferrari parts are expensive and hard to find!!! Just buy another wreck without this history if all you're after is making some money! Guy
Just saw this thread and I think its a cool find as well. Ferrari with bona fide race history of any type is special. If I had $$$ I'd love one - you'd wouldn't see anyone else with one and the provenance is there and I'll bet they're fun as heck to drive on the track. Cheers Kevin
Exactly my thoughts, I never said it wasn't an intresting find either! Every Ferrari is intresting in my eyes and it certainly is a nice find! I always wondered where the cars ended up after they seemed to vanish some years ago... Really wonder how they look like now... Hope they can be rescued out of their misery... But... like I said before... last time I saw the cars in real life... it almost made me cry... Especially the one painted with a bad brush in yellow, purple, aso... It really looked like it was done by monkeys... the cars are empty... restoration will cost a fortune! I just thought I should warn you, don't have too high expectations... Just go and have a look... offer a low price... then decide wether you buy them or not... I'm even willing to help when you go pick them up... But you're gonna need a towtruck for that...
Hope to see pictures of those cars very soon.....and let me know the price, i'm seriously interested. here is a recent picture of the ex owner and team manager Van Rossem. Image Unavailable, Please Login
30 minutes ago I didn't see a pic, just a red X, NOW I do see the pic. Preferred the X tough thx Jurgen
BTW, I have a very strong feeling that THE barn with the Moneytron-Mondials is visible on this aerial view, close to M-T-H. Am I right Stijn? Image Unavailable, Please Login
